Slavery is aborrent and without defense. To use the term benefit in any relationship to slavery is to call good evil and evil good. Slavery is rape, pestilence, murder, genocide, theft - vicious thoroughly. It violates all 10 Commandments. Every one.

@PeterSchorschFL @realDonaldTrump An oversupply of crude oil (price down 20%) and a decrease in global productivity (due to unpredictable tariff policies) are the major causes of lower gas prices. Plus winter gas is cheaper to make than summer gas. We know who's done tariffs uncertainty.

@Jason_Garcia A transfer of public funds to private interests who make major campaign donations to the regime? Since the state cannot deport persons, how long will the detainees be held and what are the economics around their detention?

In its rush to open an immigrant detention camp in the middle of the Florida Everglades, the DeSantis administration used its emergency powers to suspend laws around minimum qualifications for law enforcement officers, truck driver safety, and permitting for portable toilets.

The situation in the Gaza Strip is increasingly worrying and painful. I renew my heartfelt appeal to allow the entry of dignified humanitarian aid and to bring an end to the hostilities, whose heart-rending price is borne by children, the elderly, and the sick.

@GoAngelo @AnnaForFlorida @mmfa Questions: inspite of media dominance, MAGA polls only 1/3 of population. Is the media dominance in a limited audience? How many are unique subscribers/viewers? How do subscribers overlap with other demographic points? How deep does this media penetrate into general population?

1. What you see here is clearest illustration why things are so messed up and why it cannot get any better until this asymmetry is addressed. Put simply: right-wing has narrative dominance. My org (@mmfa) did this study and been sounding this alarm for years. Some thoughts...

A South African billionaire worth nearly $500 billion wants to cut Social Security and Medicare for American seniors—many of whom are surviving on an average of just $762 a month. Let that sink in. The richest man on Earth, who pays little to no taxes, thinks your grandmother’s medicine and your grandfather’s check are the problem—not corporate greed, not tax breaks for the wealthy, not trillion-dollar war budgets. This level of wickedness is staggering.

A White couple allowed Black children to hide in this well during the mob attack on Rosewood Florida in 1923 that destroyed this all Black town. They were the White heroes of Rosewood but were ostracized by the White community.

I better not ever hear another word from a Trump supporter about DEI, affirmative action, or meritocracy after Trump picked the most unqualified and unserious people to join his cabinet.

@PeterSchorschFL Such remarks only add to the climate of violence. Responsible journalism can lower the temperature in our politics. Maybe more people would subscribe then.

DeSantis and state Republicans are abandoning Floridians in the storm. From St. Pete to Orlando to Jax, we’re holding them accountable TODAY. Rejecting federal funds left us without climate programs, healthcare, and meals for low-income families. We deserve better. #FloridaForAll

Just a reminder that public school principals do not leave town in hurricanes—they’re at their school if it’s used as a public shelter. Because, public schools rock, actually.

Today in Florida the current regime is successfully privatizing the system of free public schools to fulfill the segregationist dream. They call it parent's rights. Then and now.

On this day in 1958, after violent resistance to integrating Little Rock Central High School, white residents voted to close public schools rather than integrate. calendar.eji.org/racial-injusti…
