@Siuuuuuuuum Why would you lose time in the low speed corner if he was running softer? That is illogical.

@brakeboosted @Auto_Racer_it If I remember correctly they even had to LICO in Las Vegas, and there were some rumors that mentioned this

@brakeboosted track temp has dropped, tyre warm up is always 499p's issue, long term pace is what lmh good at, lmdh with current ACO's bop logic is much stronger in quali, especially around Le mans track layout, we will come back in the race, btw #50 is still the fastest lmh here:)

@AeroTechVH one stop(pre-race) clearly was the best strat, even without any sc/vsc, the early call for lec was a mistake IMO

Hamilton's done well to put the car where the actual race pace had it, no luck with his race at all - just good pace and tyre saving. There's a high chance for (V)SC in Imola and overtaking is very hard, you start at the back - you go for long first sting and extend into oblivion 👍 Leclerc's early stop was executed very well and he made up a lot of time. Still was a clearly stupid strategy to put him on Mediums starting feom P11, Ferrari were scared and went with split strategy to mitigate risk 🤦‍♂️

@brakeboosted Imola's situation was also similar to this weekend, 499p had big margin in quali and hardly replicated this kind of advantage in the race, what really to blame so far is Qatar's bop

@brakeboosted I guess mostly because what toyota get is too harsh, they should be able to fight for the podium and make it a four way fight IMO, but I'm sure toyota's bop doesn't that bad considering their race pace, just the shocking quali result made them mad

It absolutely is changeable. 1- the corners, where the issues are, are all relatively the same. High speed braking into low speed corners. 2- You are missing the point I am making. It's not that the settings are wrong per se. It's that they have to be aggressive because those low speed corners are where the understeer is killing them. Very rapid shift rearwards to induce some rotation on entry. It's bound to be tricky, but if that is what you need to do to get the car to rotate in those lower speed corners, then you'd have to deal with the instabilities.

#F1 #MiamiGP 2025 🟥 What went wrong with Ferrari in Q3 🟥 In short - it all fell away in overpass. Leclerc was 2 tenths slower than his SQ3 lap on a 6°C hotter track, which is completely baffling to say the least Verstappen was almost 1 tenth better than SQ3, Norris 1.5 tenths better, so the track conditions weren't worse despite the rain washing out the track Vasseur said they didn't put everything together, having poor balance and he's not wrong. 2 tenths would mean only two positions higher, but in terms of team morale it would be much better to at least keep the gap seen in SQ3 instead of losing 2 more tenths Today will be a chance for redemption for both Hamilton and Leclerc

@brakeboosted @AeroTechVH I'm not an expert on the electronics, but BM is suppose to be changeable from corner to corner right? why would they use same set of BM throughout the whole lap?

My theory is that they are using some aggressive engine braking and brake migration maps to try to induce some rotation into the low speed corners. That in turn is making the car behave really strange under the high speed braking. Front locking initially, as soon as they turn in it almost seems like it turns into rear locking. The drivers have to be rather conservative on corner entries to avoid the total randomness of the brakes this weekend.

For those who don't know the circuit, the castle section may be the most impressive at first glance, but turn 15 is possibly the most dangerous of all. The drivers approach a blind corner at 300 km/h, with the wall very close and a kerb that makes the car bounce a lot.

@FanaticsFerrari so we have abandoned Spain spec floor? I thought we brought it here because of zandvoort's low speed characteristic...

🚨| Ferrari is currently effectively running the same spec as in Imola, but now has inadequate performance as rival teams have moved forward. The SF-24 has the exact same problems as at the start of the season: inability to extract maximum performance from new tyres, and poor performance in long corners.

@Howaboutno65 @brakeboosted So I guess we have to tolerate this low speed corner problem? If we continue to move the aero balance forward, the car will be undriveable in high speed sections

How about no
How about no@Howaboutno65·
@FlowClear_ @brakeboosted The slow speed deficiency is not due to wing level but rather the chronic understeer reported by Charles since testing. Increasing RW would probably make it worse.

@nelscmr @brakeboosted I think they ran lower ride height in fp2 as the car becoming more sensitive when riding the kerbs (not just come from lec's accident lap but the whole fp2 session), I guess that's why we lost huge amount of time in sector 2

@brakeboosted In fp1 car was definetly in the game and was as fast or faster than Mcl in each corners. Idk what they did for fp2 but it was a step back and slower than in fp1 in quite a good part of the track (with more grip) Maybe they tried different setup philosophies between those sessions
