GOVT HAS CUSHIONED AGAINST AN ASTRONOMICAL RISE “These prices are as a result of Government reducing some of its charges to cushion the consumers from astronomical increases that have happened from changes in the international market. Without Government cushioning, the actual prices would have been US$1.90/litre for diesel and US$1.81/litre for blend”

RBZ Turns to Dialogue in Bid for Lasting Currency Stability. Zimbabwe’s latest currency reform signals a decisive shift in approach — from decree to dialogue. Reserve Bank Governor Dr John Mushayavanhu has convened former Governors and Deputy Governors for high-level consultations ahead of the 2026 Monetary Policy Statement, bringing institutional memory back into the room. The move reflects policy maturity. Instead of imposing abrupt changes, the RBZ is stress-testing reforms against past experience while widening consultations to include business leaders, financial institutions, exporters and legislators. The message is clear: currency stability is a shared national responsibility. Anchored in National Development Strategy 2, particularly the Promotion of Domestic Currency pillar, the reform recognises that confidence cannot be commanded — it must be earned. Government has pledged to lead by example by transacting in ZiG across public systems, supported by upgraded banknotes and strengthened foreign exchange mechanisms. In tone and structure, this is a coordinated and deliberate reset — building trust through consultation, not coercion. @ReserveBankZIM @BhudhiGhivhi @ZANUPF_Official @edmnangagwa @ED4TheNation @DeptCommsZW @LynneStactia @ZimFirstLady

I would like to express much displeasure with Airlink services after my recent ordeal on a trip to Maputo. The crew on flight 4Z276 was very arrogant and failed to assist me with a bag with valuables that had been stowed at the back despite my pleas that I had to rush for a business meeting with it. Up to now I don't have that bag and no one has reached out to assist or anything. Airlink has been providing fantastic services before but this recent experience is something else. Can the responsible authorities reach out to me on these contacts; WhatsApp+263 73 230 0148, Calls- 0786904075 or email me on mliswat@yahoo.com @AirLink @Fly_Airlink @Airlinkcommltd @AirlinkFlight

Frankly speaking, nobody wants elections every 5 years. Current MPs don’t. Even voters don’t, either. Did you see the percentage of people who voted in 2023 in comparison with the number of those eligible to vote?
