SAA participated in the inaugural National Transport Conference in Johannesburg, showcasing its strategic role in advancing South Africa’s connectivity and economic growth. SAA’s presence which was anchored by a prominent exhibition stand that attracted strong interest from key stakeholders, including President Cyril Ramaphosa and other distinguished delegates. SAA GCEO Prof John Lamola also participated in a panel discussion on aviation’s role in boosting tourism, economic development, and job creation. Prof Lamola emphasised that to execute its role as the strategic national flag carrier, SAA’s need for a sufficient fleet of long-haul widebody aircraft has to be regarded as part of the national infrastructure planning and funding programme. @Dotransport
