Untold millions of people in the 21st Century are walking around with psychotrauma that, in premodern times, would have been vanishingly rare outside of war. The circumstances are simply so bizarre and chaotic that extreme damage can be stumbled into by accident now.

@KazuyaProta I would say that it does. Drama between men and women has always happened, since prehistory, but I'd say that more people now face it, in weirder ways, more often, with less supporting structures in place.
