Quitting Fortnite Competitive.. once and for all 💔
everyone says, "didn't you say this a million times"
no, i didn't.. let me explain
before today, I was only quitting BR comp and NOT Reload comp, which i still had plans to compete in
but today, after 7 years of grinding, its time to say goodbye to Fortnite Competitive entirely
why am I quitting Fortnite Competitive?
well, it's very simple
reason #1 - my YouTube content has been performing extremely well, and for that, i am so so grateful you guys are incredible and i owe so much to those who have been supporting me.. that being said, i want to put more time into content
reason #2 - i always spend WEEKS grinding for tourneys, staying loyal to my teammates, getting my best placements.. and every single time, right before the MOST important cups, my teammate always drops me.. this has happened 4 times over the last 5 months and there is not a single way to prevent it
reason #3 - Fortnite Competitive will never be what it once was.. peak Fortnite comp was CH4 and CH5 with open format FNCS, open format Duos Cash Cups, and victory cups.. cheating has ruined the game so bad that open format doesnt even exist anymore, and victory cups barely do
since Chapter 7 began, i've gotten my BEST placements EVER in tourneys, with 10+ top 50s, and 5 top 20s.. however, after getting those placements, i always get left behind and become duoless when it matters most (FNCS and EWC) and it's extremely demotivating to be left behind when i am the best i have ever been at the game
people are going to say "this is stupid" or "that's what people want to watch though" people say this so much and have no clue 😭 go look at my channel, comp vids do HORRIBLE now compared to my other vids, i'm seeing 10x the love and support on the other vids AND i enjoy creating them so much more anyways
im very sad.. i had so much potential with competitive
my best placements were (12) 2nd places in solo vic cup finals (could have been $1200 earned), $2000 earned from 3rd party events (i know no one counts that whtv) and (7) D2 placements that were top 60 or better (10 spots off D1 qual) 5 of which i had most dmg while IGLing, and 2 that were ruined by cheaters (who are now banned)
the only tourneys i plan on playing will be the occasional solo skin cups, and maybe duos skin cups.. they perform super well as content + they are super fun and stress free
if you ever supported me during my fortnite comp years, just know i love you, and im beyond thankful for the support, and if you want to continue supporting me, i will always do YouTube, it would mean the world to me to see you there 💙

@FNCompetitive I don't even play this game... But how is it that you guys fire all your good employees, then host a massive tournament, just to mess up some of peoples biggest days, this is sad.... Stick to Tung Tung Tung Sahur in the item shop

We aren’t going to reset FNCS Major 1. It's too far along with the current participants. Reload Elite Series starts next Friday with finals May 17.

We've realized there is legit confusion on whether Fortnite competitive rules allow for use of drop calculators, which have evolved from being static web sites to real-time tools connected to the game you’re in. This confusion stems from the current phrasing of our prohibition: "Using any kind of cheating device, program, or similar cheating method to gain a competitive advantage” from our official FNCS rules.
We'll be updating this to reinforce that these devices, programs, and methods are prohibited if they have any access to the real-time state of the game being played (e.g. through memory, screen recording, screenshots, audio, network traffic, files, overlays). This will include overlays that feed real-time screen information from the Fortnite client to competitive advantage analysis tools. Whereas things like informational web pages that don't access the current game state are ok.
Given the confusion on this, disqualification of these players was a mistake and the DQs will be removed from their record. The bad news: due to the tournament timing, the lobbies are now full for this event and it's too late for them to continue in the current tournament.
All future use of these tools is banned if the tools have access to game state.
