Violence has become the primary tool of governance for the Georgian Dream regime.
The creation of violent, criminal vigilante groups under the guise of "protecting morality" is an extremely dangerous precedent. Today, such a group was publicly established with the sole purpose of silencing dissent.
Weaponizing political violence and encouraging lawlessness will inevitably spiral out of control, harming everyone and threatening the very fabric of our state.
Georgia needs the rule of law, accountability, and strong institutions, not state-sponsored chaos and intimidation.

Today, on July 23, 2026, the 133rd meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality. Following the meeting, a representative of the Tskhinvali occupation regime stated that, within the framework of the meeting, they had demanded the removal of the Georgian police checkpoint at Chorchana. According to Igor Kochiev, the head of the so-called delegation of the occupation regime: “Based on the responses from the Georgian side, we still have hope that common sense will prevail, that this checkpoint will be withdrawn from the territory of the republic, and that the status quo that existed before its establishment in late August 2019 will be restored.”
The State Security Service of Georgia released a statement about today’s meeting, in which they concealed the illegal demand of the occupation regime regarding the removal of the Chorchana checkpoint.
We call on the State Security Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to immediately inform the population of Georgia what response was given to the representatives of the occupation regime, something that gives them hope that the Georgian Dream government will remove the checkpoint and agree to hand over Georgian lands to the Tskhinvali regime. It is noteworthy that the “hopes” of the Tskhinvali side regarding the removal of the Georgian police post are directly linked to the recent policy of Georgian Dream, which has been prosecuting Giorgi Gakharia for establishing the checkpoint in Chorchana and defending Georgian territory during his tenure as Minister of Internal Affairs.

Sending a journalist to prison over a Facebook post while violent aggressors go unpunished and are even rewarded, shows how desperate the regime has become. When authoritarian rulers can no longer tolerate dissent, violence, intimidation and censorship become their only tools. Georgian Dream has gone so far as to penalize media outlets simply for using words like "oligarch."
Systemic oppression and state-sanctioned violence pose a grave threat not just to democracy, but to our entire society. Full responsibility for every act of oppression lies with a regime that is itself the primary perpetrator and ultimate enabler of violence.

We welcome EU’s proactive engagement with Syria to reverse the unlawful recognition of Georgia’s occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region by the Russian Federation. Amidst the Georgian government's treacherous silence regarding the ongoing de-facto annexation of Tskhinvali region, the EU's dedicated and sustained policy of non-recognition of occupied territories is critical for upholding Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The occupation and annexation cannot be normalized. Georgia’s territorial integrity is non-negotiable. The reaction of Tskhinvali regime to the EU decision demonstrates its importance. We thank our EU partners for standing firmly with us in defending Georgia's vital interests, especially given that the GD government cannot normalise the situation in the occupied territories as it pursues collaborative policy with the occupant state.

Following Georgian Dream’s complete debacle at the #OSCEPA session in #TheHagueAS26 and the adoption of a resolution on Georgia's democratic backsliding & systemic human rights violations, the ruling party unleashed its main propaganda tool, UK-sanctioned Imedi TV, against the @oscepa . Propaganda is now directly questioning the @OSCE leadership, demanding they distance themselves from the PA's resolution - attempting to blackmail them.
When the truth is not on your side, you resort to violence and propaganda. You have nothing else left.
This is why a systemic fight against state propaganda is critically important for Georgia’s democratic future. 🇬🇪🇪🇺

Today the EU foreign ministers discussed the implementation of the EU Black Sea strategy, however Georgia is nowhere to be seen. Being a Black Sea littoral country and the EU membership candidate, Georgia should have been one of the major stakeholders of this strategy, but again, due to the anti-European and anti-Georgian policy of the "Georgian Dream" government, which deliberately isolates the country from its strategic partners, Georgia is loosing another geopolitical opportunity to benefit from the EU BS strategy.
As emphasized by the High Commissioner @kajakallas , the GD cannot even normally communicate with the EU, loosing the vital momentum and depriving the country its natural place in the new Black Sea regional architecture, closely integred with Europe.
Georgian people deserve their place within Europe, sharing the common regional and European future.

Shameful performance by Georgian Dream delegation at @oscepa #TheHagueAS2026. Unable to deceive the OSCE community with their lies, GD delegation walked out, drawing a just and appropriate response from the OSCE PA President @perejoanpons. GD has completely ruined its reputation: at home, they fight the truth with violence, imprisonment and fines; abroad, with embarrassing tantrums. While Russia accelerates its annexation processes in occupied Tskhinvali region, GD sabotages a major security platform instead of using it to mobilize our allies. This is a severe, direct blow to Georgia’s national security and vital interests.

During my working visit to the @OSCEPA #TheHagueAS26
I am holding crucial meetings with OSCE leadership, international partners, and delegations who have stood by Georgia for decades.
While the Georgian government is busy spreading lies on international stages to mask reality, we are doing what they refuse to do: defending Georgia’s national interests, territorial integrity and sovereignty. After hollow promises of reunification and shameful apologies to the occupiers, Georgian Dream is trying to force society into accepting both the loss of our occupied lands and the destruction of our European future. This is nothing but a collaborationism.
In the face of government inaction, our priority in The Hague is to mobilize partners against the accelerated annexation processes in Georgia’s occupied territories, especially in the Tskhinvali region over the last three months.
Together with my team, I will continue to fight for Georgia's European future and territorial integrity. 🇬🇪🇪🇺

Today marks the start of the 67th round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID).
Since the previous round, Moscow has significantly accelerated the process of de facto annexation of Georgia’s occupied Tskhinvali region, aiming at its integration into the Russian Federation. This new phase of annexation began with the signing of the so‑called “Agreement on Deepening Allied Relations” on May 9, followed by the appointment of a Russian official as the so‑called head of the Tskhinvali occupation regime.
Against this backdrop, the “Dream” government maintains complete silence on this blatant violation of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, refusing even to support a resolution condemning annexation. Through criminal silence, inaction, and a collaborationist policy, “Dream” facilitates the occupier’s interests.
The Geneva Discussions remain the only format where Georgia addresses the conflict with Russia and the situation in the occupied territories, with the participation of our strategic partners.
Accordingly:
We demand that the Georgian government raise sharply the issue of the ongoing annexation of the occupied Tskhinvali region during the meeting.
We call on the co‑chairs of the Geneva Discussions to condemn yet another gross violation by the Russian Federation of international law, including its obligations under the 2008 ceasefire agreement.

Major fight in the Georgian Parliament.
Members of Parliament from the ruling Georgian Dream attacked opposition MPs from Giorgi Gakharia’s For Georgia party after one of their MPs gave a speech criticizing the government.
More than 20 Georgian Dream MPs rushed in to start punching opposition MPs.
The attackers included the three-time Olympic weightlifting champion Lasha Talakhadze and the Olympic gold medalist wrestler Geno Petriashvili
The ruling Georgian Dream part is accused by the opposition of trying to sabotage Georgia’s EU accession, electoral fraud and making the country subservient of Russia.

This is no mere brawl - it is a targeted attack by the ruling Georgian Dream party against our team for speaking truth to GD PM Kobakhidze. This footage exposes the grim reality of a regime physically assaulting critical voices: politicians, journalists, students, and activists.
We will do everything to stop this violence!

We entered Parliament not to leave citizens - including those who voted for Georgian Dream - alone with their needs and concerns, to use every parliamentary instrument to hold the government accountable and ensure that different voices are heard in Parliament. We have never wavered from that mission. Georgian Dream has responded to political opposition with coordinated physical violence. Our colleague, Giga Parulava, required medical attention. Today, in Georgia, serving in the opposition means risking your physical safety. This violence is enabled by the impunity enjoyed by those at the highest levels of power.
