@reddit_lies Sounds a lot like Mexico. And they got a Cartel problem even though those guns are banned. These redditors have no understanding that criminals will not obey the law.

#NYC “An NYPD officer fatally shot a man in the Bronx on [April 2nd]. It happened at around 6:45 a.m. at an apartment on Willis Avenue between Bruckner Boulevard and East 132nd Street. Police officials said the Bronx Warrant Squad was trying to apprehend Lucien Colon, 44.”

@realAFLF What's the thing he dropped that he kept reaching for? Who is the man? Why were police called to the scene? All of this context matters. If the man just killed someone and was walking around with a gun, ignoring police orders, then the shooting was justified.

@LauraLoomer The “Automatic” the issue is that the government is removing the 'consent of the governed' by automating the process, effectively treating citizens like inventory to be managed rather than people with a choice.

Today, NYPD Sergeant Erik Duran was convicted of second-degree manslaughter for throwing a cooler at Eric Duprey, a 30-year-old father of three and delivery worker, causing him to crash his scooter and die. This happened in August 2023 during a botched drug bust in the Bronx. This conviction is rare. It’s historic. And it matters. Eric Duprey was trying to survive, delivering food, supporting his family, navigating a city that made life hard for him. Sergeant Duran decided to weaponize a cooler and end his life over a low-level narcotics investigation. For two and a half years, Eric’s family waited for accountability. Today, they got it. Duran faces up to 15 years in prison. Sentencing is March 19th. This is what accountability looks like when we don’t let up. When we demand justice. When we refuse to let another Black and Brown life be erased without consequence. Rest in power, Eric Duprey. Your life mattered. Your family fought for you. And today, the system was forced to answer. We keep fighting. ✊🏾 🎥: @IamHawkNewsome - Thank you for leading the fight for justice.

@DanielConlin6 @ExxAlerts It had to be a suicide by cop, no idiot just decides to reach for a BB gun and proceed to say "I'm reaching for my strap" to make it seem like a real gun.

@policelawnews Cop was a hothead, and inflamed the situation without exploring less-than-lethal options, of which, in that situation, there were many. I served 10 years as a patrol cop. LEO's like that shooter are a cancer.

Hartford, CT🚔 🚨OFFICER FIRED🚨 •Stephen Jones advanced on an officer, armed w/ a 🔪 & refused to drop the weapon. •This was an obvious lawful use of deadly force. •The mayor fired the officer…BEFORE an internal investigation was complete. This is absurd.

@InspectorMike94 @Andrew_Maj42 well the guy did empty the mag (and probably didn't keep another) so i guess thats when the ridealong decided to strangle him dead but it was very stupid of the cop to try a taser on a guy with a gun to his face
