@TheGourdKing Being in theology I understand this as I have many good faith debates but again that is not what I’m referring to in this post but rather people simply trying to be divisive for clicks.

@ForceofLightEn1 Good faith simply means a party actually believes what they're saying, so that's likely most such debates. We have to understand that in many of them, part of what's being sorted is who His people are to begin with. It is a complex matter that can't be solved by simple "unity."

Scripture never ask if you are Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant. It expresses the need to be “in Christ” to be “born again” to be an “heir with Christ” to be a “son or daughter of God” to be “bought with a price” and so on. So much stupid fighting on this app from people who are suppose to serve the same God. Jesus specifically prayed for the unity of His people (John 17). Walk in the Light and love your brothers and sisters in Christ despite what tradition they associate with. This is elementary but apparently needs said.

@TheGourdKing I’m all for theological debates that are done in good faith. That is not what I’m referring to.

@ForceofLightEn1 Given the paramount importance of Scripture, having arguments/debates is necessary, especially when some of these differences we have with one another suggest those who are wrong are not in the body of Christ. This take is just plain childish.

@BreeSolstad It actually fits the text book definition of worship. We can worship God through many different forms but it must be done in “spirit and in truth”.

This is what emotionalism looks like. This is what a pop concert looks like. This is NOT what worship looks like.

The thing that scares @tedcruz the most about Catholics is we are not so moldable as evangelicals. We have 2000 years of teachings from the magisterium that shapes our understanding of morality. It doesn’t always align with conservatism. In other words We can’t be bought.
