Our Youth Justice Coordinators, based in Truro/Shubenacadie, Yarmouth/Barrington, and Antigonish, offer a holistic approach to supporting youth currently involved, or at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system in Nova Scotia. Supports for youth accused of a crime include court navigation, court accompaniment, advocacy, and referrals to community organizations; and available programs are Stoplifting, Anger Management, Healthy Relationships (and other social/emotional programs), and substance use/harm reduction. Supports for youth who are victims of a crime include court navigation, court accompaniment, advocacy, referrals to community organizations, peer support, domestic violence support, and mental health support.
