𝐁𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 I have consistently voiced my disapproval regarding the explicit maneuvers of certain politically unruly factions attempting to establish a secondary centre of power on Vice President Chiwenga, a move that seeks to undermine the authority of President ED. This position stems from my unwavering commitment to principles that, regardless of the circumstances, would apply equally should Vice President Chiwenga ascend to the presidency. I cannot agree to the establishment of a competing source of authority that jeopardizes the integrity of his own leadership; the matter is as straightforward as that. Nevertheless, there are more profound issues to support my opinion. The English philosopher Thomas Hobbes articulated a concept known as the "state of nature. Geberallt speaking, in a hypothetical political context, the "state of nature" is defined by rival centres of power, anarchy, and disorder, wherein human ambitions remain unconstrained, self-interest prevails, passions run rampant, and the carnage fosters a battleground of every individual against all others. Constantly looming within this scenario is the fear of violent mortality as individuals battle for power and positions. The doctrine of a One Centre of Power emerges as a necessary antidote to such disorder. Contrary to assertions from certain quarters that seek to frame this concept as undemocratic, genuine democracy flourishes in an environment marked by internal party stability, promoting robust participation in democratic processes. The principle of a singular centre of power assures stability, direction, and unity of command. In an ideal context, this approach stands in opposition to factionalism, anarchy, and the fragmentation of competing centres of authority, all of which can engender political turmoil. Individuals currently & prematurely advancing and mischievously hyping VP Chiwenga as an alternative centre of power are promoting this very carnage which is rampant in Hobbe's "state of nature". It is within this context that I have openly voiced opposition to attempts to construct an alternative centre of power during President ED’s administration. Such endeavors are utterly unacceptable, as they breed internal fragmentation and instability. Importantly, my opposition to the establishment of this competing centre transcends the duration of President ED's tenure. Even if Vice President Chiwenga were to assume the presidency, I would steadfastly oppose any factional attempts to create a rival centre of power!

Time has cemented Chipanga's renowned apolo-jersey moment as a testament to unwavering loyalty, exemplifying the qualities one seeks in a leader. Loyalty all the way. In contrast, President ED is surrounded by many individuals hovering for opportunities and yet lack the courage to defend him. Minister Machakaire leading the Youth League, has allowed it to transform into a passive and ineffectual participant in party affairs. Yet, the Youth and Women's Leagues, ought to serve as the party’s vanguard. Today they have become mere numerals within the complex hierarchy of ZANU PF power dynamics. Machakaire and the Youth should have led the line defending when ED was being attacked yet they never did. When VP Chiwenga openly threatened the stability of the party Machakaire utterly failed to mobilise a solidarity stand with the One Centre of Power betraying his compromised state. His days should be numbered, taneta nevanhu vanoda kudya chete. They never made a statement when the VP clearly went against a clear party resolution on 2030. That was an act that brought the party into disrepute. Instead, all Machakaire does is talk about how he made his money nekupfeka masuit. Even if the VP is his brother, as he tells people, he is also Sekuru vangu but when one goes the wrong way, we still tell them the truth kuti apa Sekuru marasika. We do our part kuita zvigrader zvekutaura chokwadi kuti musha una Baba one. It had to take the likes of Cde Lovemore Matuke and Oppah Muchinguru to stand up against the path which the VP had taken. Now some of us are accused of being paid to say things but it's false, we just respect the One Centre of Power in the party. Imi makanyarara ndimi mukurikutodya mari yacho! We are tired of people who sit on the fence waiting to jump on the winning side. Leadership isn't about suits and flying in a helicopter. What are you teaching youths by flying around in a helicopter failing to link and relate with them? Leadership is about action on the ground, making a difference within your area of control. Come down to the youths, interact with them, get to understand their challenges and offer solutions. As it is drugs are ravaging them and there isn't much being done. In terms of employment creation he has failed. Some who had land they lost it to corrupt cabals. In all these he has failed to come up with any substantial initiative. Kana pane zvatiri kunamatira mumusangano kuti vamwe ngavabude pazvigaro. Ngazvichinjwe, mawanda mbwende!

The Iranian regime devastated Arad and Dimona by deliberately striking civilians with missiles. Over 100 people were injured, including children. A blatant war crime. Pure terrorism.

Hama dzangu. Do you realize that because of sanctions and other pressures from our detractors after taking back our land, we stayed for long without any notable developments around our communities. Enter Second Republic, things are happening everywhere around us. An upper middle-income society is a reality for Zimbabwe. #EDWorks

I am against the extension of terms of office for MPs and Councilors. We don't know our MP, we don't know what she did with the CDF, we last saw her face on the ballot paper in 2023. Forcing us to have that person till 2030 is torture. It's just a beautiful face without ideas.

Kana muchidya idyai makanyarara. I think it's illogical and unreasonable for you to say no one is poor in Zimbabwe based on Borrowdale homes. Go and take a video in Rugate and show us as well. Sometimes you embarrass even those you are trying to impress. Pathetic!
C. H. MUKUNGUNUGWA@CMukungunugwa

No one is poor in Zimbabwe. Take a look inside the multi-million-dollar homes of Borrowdale Brook and you’ll see a different story. Sometimes you wonder if those who constantly criticize Zimbabwe even know it at all. This is the Zimbabwe they don’t show you.

Two brothers will definitely find each other. I know some efforts to bring brothers together are currently underway. There are some people who may want to peddle misinformation, to divide and conquer. Whatever the differences that may arise, they need to be resolved and we move forward together united. President ED Mnangagwa always preach unity

In politics, as in economics, timing is everything. And the reaffirmation by ZANU PF Manicaland Province of Dr. Paul Tungwarara’s co-option into the Central Committee could not have come at a more opportune moment. It is a decision that is not only procedurally sound following the clear will of Chipinge District but also strategically wise, given the party’s urgent need to infuse its leadership with technocratic competence and economic foresight. Dr. Tungwarara is not a stranger to the corridors of power. As Presidential Investment Adviser, he has already demonstrated a rare blend of policy literacy, business acumen, and patriotic commitment. But what makes his elevation to the Central Committee both necessary and timely is the broader context: Zimbabwe is in the midst of a generational economic reorientation. The mantra “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” must be matched by leadership that understands business not just as a slogan, but as a system.Manicaland, with its vast natural resources, strategic borders, and industrious population, is poised to become a hub of regional trade and investment. But this potential will remain untapped unless the Province is represented by individuals who can translate opportunity into outcomes. Dr. Tungwarara is such an individual. He brings to the table not only a global investment perspective but also a deep-rooted connection to Chipinge the very District that has stood firm in reaffirming his nomination. The procedural concerns raised earlier have been addressed with maturity and transparency. The Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) reconvened, consulted Chipinge District, and received a resounding reaffirmation of Dr. Tungwarara’s nomination. This is Democracy at work internal Democracy, yes, but Democracy nonetheless. It is now incumbent upon the national leadership to respect and ratify this decision. To do otherwise would not only undermine the will of the people of Chipinge but also send the wrong signal about the Party ’s commitment to generational renewal and economic transformation.Dr. Tungwarara’s co-option is not a favour to him. It is an investment in the future of ZANU PF, Manicaland Province, and Zimbabwe at large. And like all sound investments, it promises returns not just in rhetoric, but in results.

Thank you Cde!
Hon. Tafadzwa Mugwadi@TafadzwaMugwadi

Just to remind some arrogant fool Fighting me through proxies or hired political urchins is a no brainer. This unprovoked and misbegotten tomfoolery of chasing the political microphone 🎤 , organizing clandestine kangaroo gatherings in flagrant and unprecedented defiance of Party directives to spew hate, polarize, sow divisions and grandstanding as if u are a miracle to ZANU PF & and the President is suicidal. To have people travel hundreds of kilometers to listen to hollow, shallow, ideologically bankrupt and garrulous counter revolutionary rumblings is regrettably a new low sani. Worse when you are aiming at people, cdes and cadres who sweated for 2018 and 2023 victories in your absence from both the ballot and the party. Not to mention that the 2nd Republic is a product of collective sweat, sacrifice and unity of purpose of our leadership and other known key players while you are unaccounted for during that period and no one knows where you were. Now, instead of using your given opportunity to show your skill, you start seeking for gun salutes, red carpets & creating a false equivalency to the President, intimidating those who disagree with your misguided juvenile political activism, as if they were against the Principal. Now, let me be very clear, open and direct to you, as Hon. Tafadzwa Mugwadi, that unlike you who employ clandestine ghost characters and hired social media matryres of folly to chide me. I remain TAFADZWA MUGWADI who does not and shall never worship your comic, theatrical and uneventful politics, nor take your threats as news. Simply because you are not the epitome of Presidential appointees. Rather there are Politburo Members, Central committees, Ministers, deputy Ministers, permanent secretaries, directors of key state apparatus, commanders, ambassadors, and etc who are superior appointees of H.E than your claim to firm and headlines. They are all questioned and answerable for example Ministers and deputies in parliament and various fora and they do so without name-dropping the name of the Principal the way you do to cover your indelible plots. Yet it must be clear to you Mwutape , that you are not anywhere close to equivalence to the Principal so as to issue veiled threats against His Party deployees. Who are you? As Mugwadi, I am a politician, a Lawyer and a Political Scientist by profession and training, not a prayer warrior. If you challenge me, I respond as a politician, not as a pastor. What we went through prior to 2017 is known to H.E. Our loyalties todate are known by him, and are not expressed through you mupfanha. Imagine we voted in your absence. And you want all of us and other senior leaders to shiver at your sight? Ahhh, no mwutape kana muchiroya tokuonai mwauya kwacho. I am ready to fight for my turf. By which power do you threaten ZANU PF members with expulsion? You must be enrolled at Chitepo School before you chase the mic to vomit garbage. I am proud to have served at a sensitive senior level as Party Director of Information and Publicity before my redeployment to Parliament, owing to trust and being reliable to the Principal. And today, here comes a 'you', serial namedropper, who thinks is a President's version in Manicaland? Ahhhh no, get off the way Mr john-come-late especially my way. My game is pound for pound, measure for measure, zig for zig. Bring any and be assured of my answer, for I am no prophet nor a prophet's son but a politician. #07#
