Right after Easter, Rhett McLaughlin from Good Mythical Morning joined Alexis O’Connor to discuss his deconstruction from Christianity. He mentioned former NIH head Francis Collins again.

My latest for @theblaze -- As rumors continue to swirl that Samuel Alito is retiring, it is paramount President Trump nominate a judge just as reliably righteous as Alito is to replace him, and not another ACB or Kavanaugh. theblaze.com/columns/opinio…

I had the privilege of speaking with @DavidSchrock from @Christ_OverAll about his experience getting involved in Politics in Virginia after the radical leftward shift. Schrock provides a lot of great insight for Christians wanting to get involved in politics. We also discuss the role of a pastor in politics.

I’m the Senior Director of @tpusafaith , and I’ve been in that room twice, once before I was on staff, and once after. First, let’s clarify: this was not a @TPUSA event, and James O’Keefe doesn’t work for us. But here’s what @tucciarone2026 didn’t mention… In 2023, I was there early in the night with a small group of faith leaders to support @ericmetaxas, who had been invited to speak by @JamesOKeefeIII. In the middle of an environment not too dissimilar to the example here, Eric stood on stage and boldly preached Christ. (@ericmetaxas can confirm this.) At the same time, a few of us from @tpusafaith were gathered quietly in the corner praying for Eric, the people in the room, and for God to move in that exact moment. We left after Eric was finished and I watched multiple young people thank Eric for what he shared on the way out. That’s what we do. We try and bring the light of the gospel to all of the environments we’re invited to, knowing that it’s very much not a given that those who share a political affiliation with us necessarily share the faith (or are at different stages of their journey). The conservative movement draws people from all kinds of places, some grounded, some curious, some just showing up for the scene. We don’t run from that reality. We step into it so that when the moment comes, the gospel is actually present. That’s one of the reasons TPUSA Faith exists. And it’s why Faith Night at AmericaFest matters and it’s why Charlie consistently gave us the main stage to share the gospel with thousands who might not otherwise hear it —and why that continues. We’re not endorsing every environment. We’re making sure no environment is beyond reach.

I used to WORK for TPUSA TPUSA Faith exists to equip Christians to live out biblical truth, fight cultural degeneracy, and be salt and light. But at AmFest 2024's after-party (hosted by James O'Keefe – the 'Make America Rave Again' blowout), this is what went down: a half-naked woman in a giant wine glass full of water, grinding sexually, splashing the crowd while booze flows everywhere – and she wraps our American flag around her like a cape. Straight-up Flag Code disrespect and total cultural compromise. This is the 'party of the decade' our youth are funneled into? Where's the biblical modesty? The respect for sacred symbols? The consistency on fighting degeneracy? Former insider here – this doesn't align with what TPUSA preaches. Video is real, unedited, from the event I was at. Judge for yourself. Thoughts, @TPUSA

Nate Morris is running in the Republican primary for Senator. He was Charlie Kirk's last political project. If you guys don't show up (or turn our your friends) for the primary vote in Kentucky, I don't ever want to hear another complaint. EVER, about the do-nothing Senate.

Sen Marsha Blackburn expressed confidence in Thune today during our interview @997wtn. I do not (to say the least) share those sentiments. When you Rs have 48 votes you bellyache about getting the majority. American people give you 53 votes. And you claim to need 60. Something tells me you get 60 and there would be another excuse. Be a warrior, do the work, make them earn it, speak for the American people. LEAD. x.com/LeaderJohnThun…

Whoa! @PastorMark found a clip of progressive “evangelical” @CTmagazine employee @MikeCosper saying that he is “more encouraged by Talarico's expression of Christianity than by what we've seen in the MAGA world.” Absolutely insane thing to say.
Pastor Mark Driscoll@PastorMark

If you don't want anyone to ever hear your bad take, 3/4 of the way into a @CTmagazine podcast is one of the best places in the world to hide it. Unlucky for him we have enthusiastic and possibly masochistic staff who will suffer for the Gospel. @jamestalarico: "I think Christianity and other religions of love point to the same truth." @MikeCosper: "I'm more encouraged by Talarico's expression of Christianity than by what we've seen in the MAGA world."

Most people can tell you a little bit about the fall of the Roman Empire. It is a tragic story that captivates our attention, but few know about the glorious triumph that was occurring in Ireland during this same time period. As the once Christian Rome was falling from order into chaos, Christ was causing Ireland to turn from chaos into order. He did this through the work of Saint Patrick. Originally born in Rome, at age 16 Patrick found himself captured in a cattle raid by Irish men who took him far away from his homeland and made him into a shepherd slave. He would go on to spend six years in hunger and solitude before escaping and making his way back home. During these hard years of slavery, Patrick found faith in Christ and learned to wrestle with the God of the universe. Sometime after Patrick had finally arrived back home, he received a letter in a dream called “The Voice of the Irish” in which the people of Ireland pleaded that he return to them. After some scholarly training, Patrick returned not as a slave but instead as one of the first missionaries since the apostle Paul to venture outside of the Roman world. Prior to Patrick’s mission taking place, Ireland could be described as a barbaric land. The Irish had a vast pantheon of “gods” that haunted the lands with cruel intentions. Unlike the Roman world that has been mostly christianized, the Irish still practiced human sacrifice in order to appeal to these gods for safety or prosperity. Irish men would ordain themselves using the body parts of those sacrificed as jewelry. Yet the gods of Ireland were unstable, trickster like gods who consistently set the men who followed them down paths of unavoidable destruction. These demons would visit Irish men in dreams only to prophecy of their deaths or demand actions that were impossible for mortals to achieve. The gods of Ireland were also known shapeshifters and seemed to warp reality to whatever they desired. This vicious pantheon resulted in a culture among the Irish of unrest and chaos. With no absolute truths to guide them and no understanding of the value of human life, the early Irish seemed to have a constant weight of anxious depression. It became commonplace for these people to drink themselves to sleep each night in order to escape the many nightmares that assailed them. This is the Ireland that Patrick was called to evangelize. As a result of his mission the entirety of Ireland became Christianized overtime and turned from chaos to peace just as Rome fell from peace into chaos. But how did Patrick overcome the rampant paganism? There are a few clues one can gather from Patrick’s life as to how his mission was successful. One noteworthy insight is that Patrick clearly cared for the Irish at a very personal and individual level. Many of Patrick’s writings include specific details about the men and women he was ministering to. It is clear that Patrick possessed more than just a generalized love of the Irish, but instead he cultivated a deep community with those he served. These new converts created tight knit communities where they lived close by, shared resources with one another, and labored together in their study of scripture and academics. These same Christian communities were usually the start of what would become the major population centers of modern Ireland. Their academic pursuits also resulted in the Irish preserving much of the history and writings produced in Rome and Greece that would have otherwise been lost during the empire's fall. This is why some historians say the Christian Irish saved civilization itself, or in the least they saved what we call the western cannon. Beyond personal relationships, Patrick seemed to gain favor with the Irish through his clear bravery. The Irish placed a high value on courage and glorified the idea of dying in battle. Patrick spoke openly about his lack of fear of death or torment and he was willing to go into all corners of Ireland to reach the lost. This bravery was not lost on the Irish. More than just earning their loyalty and respect, however, Patrick provided the Irish with a story that met all their deepest needs. The Irish believed that reality was fluid, like their shapeshifting gods, and there was no such thing as absolute truth. The gospel brought by Patrick showed how the entirety of creation was made by an all powerful God who set up certain rules that can be trusted. The Irish gods led the people of Ireland to believe they had little value. The gospel revealed that all men and women are created in the image of God and have value. The Irish gods created instability wherever they went and were impossible to appease forever. Meanwhile the gospel speaks of a God who is deeply satisfied in the sacrifice of his son. Christ was the last sacrifice needed and no more human sacrifice was required for atonement or prosperity. All these answers were strengthened by the life of Patrick who served as a living alternative to the Irish lifestyle. Patrick did not need to drink himself to sleep to avoid nightmares and hauntings. He was already at peace, and as he lived among the irish they could see that this peace was not temporary. Each day Patrick prayed a powerful prayer often referred to as the breastplate of Saint Patrick. In it he declares his reliance on Christ to uphold him. It is a prayer of consecration. One can see how Patrick’s life was something to be desired. There are many things we can learn from the life of Patrick, but the simplest lesson is that evangelism (the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ) and discipleship (the active pursuit of living according to scripture and teaching others to do the same) has the power to transform entire civilizations. Today in modern America, we are faced with a similar rise in paganism and opposing world views. Will we boldly evangelize and disciple our neighborhoods? Will we build strong Christian communities that seek to live righteously? In short, will we choose Christ or chaos? There is no third option. “Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 2:10-12 ESV

After listening to Senate floor debate this morning, my hope for each of us is that we will find someone who loves us as much as Oklahoma Democrats love ensuring 1st graders have access to hardcore pornography. One of my Democrat colleagues even said that he rarely rises in debate, but felt particularly compelled to debate against this bill. He then proceeded to compare those of us who do NOT want pornography in school libraries to Nazis. Senate rules prohibit the reading of the explicit content in many of these books on the Senate floor. Yet Democrats are obsessed with ensuring school children have access to them. Is there anyone who can tell me why Democrat politicians are like this?

This is how you curse your posterity and leave no legacy. He probably lost her heart years ago. I am obsessed with providing housing to my children until, and even after, they are married. Especially my girls. There will be no reason for them to leave my roof/protection. Insane to think this way. Shameful. Lord, turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers!

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?

Understand what Thune is doing right now. It’s not enough for him to kill the SAVE America Act. Thune has to kill it while also protecting his worst RINO colleagues from being exposed for opposing it. How does Thune accomplish his? By avoiding a simple majority vote at all costs. Thune knows a public vote where Republicans get less than 50 votes—with people like Tillis and Curtis and McConnell and Murkowski voting against IT—is electoral poison. He doesn’t want it to pass, but he also can’t have it die at the hands of his own puke colleagues. So how does Thune do this? By refusing to move to the already-passed House bill (this only requires a simple majority because the House message is privileged) and instead moving to a new, standalone Senate bill. A new Senate bill is not privileged, and therefore the motion to proceed to it is debatable, meaning it requires 60 votes. Thune needs to kill the SAVE America Act, not expose any of his GOP colleagues as being against it, and be able to pretend that he tried. This is the actual Senate GOP trifecta—doing nothing while pretending they tried everything and protecting the worst of the worst the whole time. So when you watch the GOP Senate bring up a brand new SAVE America Act bill and hold a single vote on a motion that needs 60 to pass, know that they’re doing it because they think you’re stupid.

James Talarico believes in feeding the unborn to Moloch, and uses the Bible to justify it, but David French says that’s fine, even admirable, because he has a “right heart.” French has had a lot of lamentable takes in the past decade, but this is his worst.
Protestia@Protestia

In his newest article, David French says "James Talarico is one of the few openly Christian politicians in the United States who acts like a Christian."
