@ariannasan @united Upgrade chances vary by hub as well. SFO & EWR are the most difficult overall but that depends on route. Also customers close to SFO & EWR require the highest amounts of PQP spend to quality for GS status, often double or more compared to others.

Main complaints by nationality by Thais: Chinese tourists: Travel in large, loud groups, often rude and disrespectful. Refuse Thai food, only eat Chinese cuisine. Frequent littering and ignoring religious site rules. Indian tourists: Large groups that litter beaches. Loud public behaviour. Aggressive haggling. Refuse to follow venue rules. Dominant presence in sex tourism areas like Pattaya. Low spending compared to other tourists. Many working illegally. Hygiene issues. Russian tourists: Drunken, disruptive behaviour. Shirtless in public. Fighting and rowdy antics Sense of entitlement. Working illegally. Israeli tourists: Strong sense of entitlement. Unpaid bills. Public intoxication. Aggressive and disrespectful behaviour. British tourists: Stag and hen night culture. Blackout drinking. Shirtless in public. Bar fights and disorderly conduct.

@HackSoloTravel @Whereareweofft1 Most of the time the exchange rates at the airport are bad but there are exceptions especially in Asia where rates are same as in town. In the Mid East the airport rates aren’t too far off from in town and they’ll often take currencies that are otherwise hard to exchange.

Why do so many #travelers continue to use currency exchange kiosks abroad -- when ATMs almost always give a much better exchange rate? - habit - intimidated by using a foreign-language ATM - expect something bad to happen to their card/bank account - don't know it's an option?

@HackSoloTravel Depending on factors like the bank of the ATM, country I’m in, etc. once all fees are calculated in the cost of the transaction difference can be inconsequential. And the less exposure of my card & banking info to unfamiliar sources the better.

There are 20 airports in the US that have private version of TSA, which is prefunded via contract. The largest are San Francisco, Kansas City, and Orlando airports.
