@FormulaZR @BimbleWizard You probably didn't see anyone posting about the poison gas topedos in the first game with the mechanic to literally lock on to "Leviathan Class" lifeforms. You need to include them in your shitlib defense or it'll still be too obvious you don't actually play these games.

@tmo_melonmaster @Pirat_Nation Because the vocal minority of this playerbase is full of rabid idiots that won't shut up until they get their way.
English

@Pirat_Nation Why is the dev being so hostile to the consumers? He can just politely say they're focused on exploration instead of telling people to fuck off and play something else. This will kill goodwill with the player base.

Subnautica 2 devs say "go play Sons of the Forest" if you don't like its lack of violence.
The game focuses on underwater exploration, and you cannot kill most creatures.
On the official Discord, one player asked why killing is impossible in SN2 as it makes no sense. Level designer Artyom O’Rielly replied,
“This is not a killing game, so go play Sons of the Forest if you want to kill.” Another developer said, “The team discusses this a lot inside the studio and may let players catch small fish for food, but large creatures will stay safe so the game feels right.”
This idea comes from the first Subnautica, as the team wants players to discover things, feel wonder, and live with ocean life instead of fighting it.
A fan-made mod already lets players kill creatures, and the studio is reading all feedback. It plans to add better ways to scare off creatures but will not add weapons.
Early access is expected to last up to 3 years.

@Pirat_Nation If anyone thinks they would stand a chance against a large predatory sea creature they are batshit crazy. That is not and never has been what the gameplay of Subnautica is about.
English

@Subnautica This EA has really felt like it showed the IQ of a lot of the "newer to Subnautica" playerbase, and I have bad news for them. SN2 EA is great, fauna aggression is a little overtuned while the damage is a little undertuned, but it's already been said that is being worked on.

We just posted a letter from the Subnautica 2 team to the community, addressing some key feedback since launch! 📝

@Subnautica Allow players to (try) to kill fish. Make it so all hostile creatures in a 500m radius (or larger) attack the player at the same time if they try to do so. Since the player has shown aggression, the fauna never relent. This would persist throughout the save.
English

@chiguirii @Subnautica "Rare drops" for killing fish is the opposite of what Subnautica is.
English

Not letting people kill the predators of the sea means you will have to nerf them to the point it no longer feels like a threat. This is where you guys are prioritizing anything but fun mechanics.
Let people kill fish in self defense. Make it rewarding by having rare drops. Etc. trying to be "unique" with a pacifist twist is not fun for adults. If you want to make a kid friendly game that's cool but at least make that obvious. Let people know that's what this is.

@tanatana5252 That's 1/10 the volume of water an Olympic size swimming pool holds.

@Iam_InioluwaJ @MorbidKnowledge Anything on someone else's property isn't really a trap, though.

@MorbidKnowledge Bike theft is wrong, but setting traps to violently beat people for months and filming it like entertainment is disturbing on another level.
English

A couple in California spent five months intentionally luring bike thieves into their front yard with an unlocked bicycle, beating them with aluminum baseball bats, and posting the videos online.
Corey Cornutt, 25, and Savannah Grillot, 29, of Visalia were arrested in January 2020 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, in connection with at least four beatings between July and November 2019.
Police said the couple planted a bicycle in the front yard unsecured and waited.
Once someone tried to steal it, both rushed out and assaulted them with a baseball bat.
The videos they posted made the prosecution straightforward.
A neighbour told reporters there would be blood on the street the next day after each incident, and had warned the couple:
"Maybe it's not the best idea you're kind of bringing people into the neighbourhood that might not be here otherwise."
They ignored her and continued.
In each case the victims received various non-life-threatening injuries.
The couple documented their own crimes in enough detail to guarantee their arrest.

@PoorlyAgedStuff It's still in 1 piece, so still a better boat than Titanic.

@FuckKoroks B - A will break down and C needs too much routine maintenance (vehicle choice only). However, I also dislike licorice and love my own Model 97, so I'm still convinced I made the right choice.

@rockwellboyz97 @Fat_Electrician That McD's court case wasn't the frivolous lawsuit you think it was. They were 100% in the wrong.
English

@Fat_Electrician Someone will eventually anyways. There's no need to worry. One of these "McDonald's coffee is too hot" MFs always exists

I’ve seen at least three tweets and a bunch of reels/shorts saying the same thing:
“Who’s gonna sue Apple over the silent alarm thing? I almost got fired.”
I missed a flight last month because of it.
You know what I did? I bought a fucking alarm clock.
If your solution to a $2 problem is hoping somebody takes legal action, good luck.

@AntiLeftMemes Fun fact: California has over 400,000 registered guns (mostly in the red parts).
