And having to pay out of pocket for health insurance, which I know may people have to. But many of these old head teachers that newly retired are still in for lifetime health which is wild

I’m. 16 years in and my base salary is less than 60k a year.
I don’t complain, because I signed up for it. I get benefits. And I know on the back end I make out pretty solid. It’s a pretty even trade off IMO.

The retired teacher behind the counter at our local health food store told me his pension clears $5K/month after taxes. Don't know why he felt it necessary to share that info, but public school teachers are doing better than we've been led to believe.

@FornessD_GGSN @Grant_GGSN Walmart and Amazon cards both give 5% cash back on all Walmart and Amazon purchases, which is like 90% of our monthly grocery/home goods spending. I recommend everyone take advantage of that

@Grant_GGSN @TugGGSN My favorite right now is my Amex cash preferred. It’s like 6% cash back on first $6,000 of groceries, 3% in gas, then a ton of streaming credits too.
Then I run most everything on a Wells Fargo that gets 2% cash back.
I’m gonna start adding a minimum of 2 cards per year.

Then they're PISSED they have no retirement

The official measurements and renderings are in on the Bisons that will stand in front of the new stadium and they’re enormous. There will be a 27-foot high Bull (23k pounds), a 23-foot Cow, and a 12-foot Calf. The display will be the centerpiece of the family circle.
