I used to work construction in 95 degree heat with no shade on a tar roof carrying 3/4 inch plywood all day for ten hours a day.
And I had a blast.
I worked at BigTech making 20x the money sitting around like a pawn in some random middle manager chess game while they talked about going hiking and the restaurants in Fremont and I wanted to walk into the bay with rocks in my pockets.
