Winning matters, this is competitive sport, not a spreadsheet. g/a robots are not respected here. If you rate Drogba you know ball.

When the camera shifts to Cech after he saved Olics penalty in the 2012 shootout, his expression tells a story of it's own. Stone faced. Lazer focus. Ice in the veins. Not even a smile. He knew he had been here when he stopped Ronaldo in 08. Goosebumps every time man

Kane is 32 and he just scored his 50th UCL goal. He left Spurs and they went on to win not only their first trophy, but a European one. Bayern went trophyless for the first time after he joined, yet people still call him one of the best strikers of this generation with just two trophies at 32. Meanwhile, Kylian is 27 with 22 trophies, 68 UCL goals, 6th all time, multiple UCL records, and not a single trophyless season in his entire career, yet people on this app talk about him like he’s Mudryk or Garnacho
Dolapo@Dolypizo

If Mbappe never wins the Ballon D'or or UCL this is how people would downplay his career.

@41_thousand @McFlybowy Yes? He literally played up front with Torres, played a whole season at RM in 05/06, played RB in a CL final By your definition he’s better than other elite midfielders who only played one role

Rooney has one of the most overrated individual careers for a Striker for all his years in England, he never won a single Golden Boot. And when you dig deeper, it becomes even clearer. Wayne Rooney only won the PFA Player of the Year once in his entire career the 2009/10 season. For someone who played over a decade at the very top with Manchester United, in dominant title-winning teams, that’s not the record of a player who consistently imposed himself as the best in the league. And that tells you a lot when you’re discussing him among the very elite. Because when we talk about the greatest attackers, individual dominance has to come into the conversation not just team success. That’s the key difference. Rooney was a brilliant footballer complete, selfless, tactically intelligent. He sacrificed his game for the team, dropped deep, created, pressed, and did the dirty work. But when we talk about the very top-tier attackers, it’s not just about being good for the team it’s about individual dominance and he doesn’t have that The best strikers of a generation take over seasons. They win Golden Boots, stack up individual awards, and separate themselves clearly from everyone else. Compare that to Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, and Luis Suárez players who didn’t just contribute, but dominated. Multiple top-scorer awards, historic goal numbers, seasons where they were undeniably the best. Rooney had moments. Those players had eras. So when people elevate Rooney purely off nostalgia, it needs balance. He’s a legend of the game, no question but individually, he never reached that consistent, season-defining level that separates the great from the undeniable elite.

@Nino12x If you were born between 2000 and 2005, you’ll probably say Neymar. If you were born between 1950 and 2000, you’ll almost certainly say Wayne Rooney. Different generations, different football memories. Both players were one of the greatest. End of story.

A lot of people did not watch Rooney and it’s showing A gritty, explosive no 9/10 with a clutch gene never seen before. His longevity spanned over 15 years. was truly a unicorn Can understand why a lot of fans love Neymar. His flair and dribbling ability was unreal But Rooney defined an era of Barclays premier league that would never be replicated 👍🏽

Wayne Rooney was a better player than Neymar. By a country mile. There isn’t one aspect of football where Neymar outshines Rooney. Vision, output, effectiveness, mentality…it’s all Rooney. Some things in football are to be debated, others are straight up fact, this is the latter

@ForzaChelsea8 @McFlybowy Rooney is a player you'll drop in any part of the pitch, any position from striker to defense and he'll give you 8-9/10 performance....

@NidgeHattersSK Doesn't win anything. Simple as that. Took him 2 years to win Bundesliga after a 10 year dominance by Bayern. But has yet to do it in Champions League. Let's see his goals when they're knocked out in semi finals 3-0 vs Arsenal 🤷‍♂️

Oh my God, he is a genius. Unrivalled as the best player in the world at the moment. Will be a travesty if he ends his career without a Ballon d'Or…

@Chelsearory To be fair, he has bottled the biggest games of his career. Spurs were dominating at one point, and lost to teams like Man Utd, who were struggling, in cup semi finals. Poor for England in later rounds.

🚨💣 Joe Cole has delivered a brutal verdict on Chelsea’s strategy under the Boehly-Clearlake ownership. 🥶🔵 “The fans are not happy. Since the takeover they’ve spent £1.5 billion and posted massive losses. We’re four years into a five-year plan and, barring a miracle, we’re heading out of the Champions League. This model of buying young players at 21 or 22, giving them seven-year deals and waiting for them to peak at 27 feels too data-driven and structured. It lacks the nuance of senior players, culture and getting the fans onside. The biggest alarm bell is the number of managers they’ve already sacked — that doesn’t scream genuine long-term thinking at all.”
