LastPass suffered a breach recently. I recommended this password manager in my blog article before. They claim no impact to customer passwords, as it should be client side encrypted, but best to make sure you have 2FA enabled. npr.org/2022/12/01/114…

Infra news: this night we moved @GIMP_Official download infra to @mirrorbits by @videolan. So far, it's nice: geoIP redirects, mirror health and security checks… We are temporarily a dozen mirror short as we are requesting updates to mirrors for the new system.

That is a good decision. However, my personal opinion is that adding Microsoft Store while ignoring others is not. I wish you guys the best of luck!

We happily mention other packagers or platforms (just look at the last few posts! We talked about MSYS2, Haiku…). But on the download page, we can't and don't list the dozens of third-party platforms or packages.

That is the whole point of FossHub. @zemarmot, yes, you should encourage any free platform that is reputable enough, IMHO. Except you won't do it, but I expect to see App Store or Google Play in the future and repeat it: "The store is special"
