Dutch activist and commentator @rblommestijn has been convicted for posting tweets where she criticized mass immigration to the Netherlands and violence committed by migrants. "The message from the Dutch justice system is clear: if you, as a citizen, opinion maker, commentator, journalist, or politician, dare to criticize what the government is doing to our country, or criticize how our country is increasingly being broken by mass migration, then you must be broken," said Raisa Blommestijn. "And this is not just a conviction of me. This is a conviction of everyone who is seriously worried about the direction of this country." She has been sentenced to 30 hours of community service. Increasingly, critics of mass immigration are being criminally prosecuted, debanked, and becoming targets of intelligence operations.

In 2016, the Netherlands Meteorological Institute adjusted temperatures at De Bilt, the country's main climate station. Daily maximums from 1901 to 1950 were lowered by up to 1.9C, which removed 16 of 23 heatwaves from the record.
The altered data were then used to claim modern heatwaves were unprecedented.
Four researchers challenged the changes, but the institute dismissed the criticism, so the analysis went to peer review. In 2021, it was published, conclusively demonstrating the method systematically erased historical heat extremes.
Today, the Meteorological Institute has quietly changed its approach, and as a result, seven erased heatwaves have been restored, including the extreme summer of 1947.
Here again, we have a government agency caught rewriting climate history. The Netherlands Meteorological Institute erased heatwaves of the past, ignored critics, and reinstated the truth only when the evidence became impossible to ignore.
Policies were built on that manipulated record.
Dutch farmers lost livelihoods.
Industry and the wider economy paid the price.
But accountability is coming.

🇬🇧 Hampshire Police tried to PR their way out
They posted a statement leaning hard on one line, the injuries weren't survivable anyway, officers got misled, thoughts with the family. Tidy. Sympathetic. Move along.
Then the community note showed up underneath and took the whole thing apart.
Turns out the officers were misled by the killer's lie, a made-up claim of racial abuse and a flat denial there was even a weapon. Meanwhile Henry, 18 and visibly bleeding out, was telling them exactly what was happening.
"I've been stabbed"
"I can't breathe"
They handcuffed him anyway. Aid came around 3 minutes later, after he'd already collapsed. The pathologist's "unsurvivable" finding is the same line the police hid behind, except the note made sure nobody read it without also reading why a dying teenager spent his last minutes in cuffs.
The IOPC is investigating now. The post was meant to close the story. The note reopened it in about four sentences.

Five innocent people are dead in Virginia.
Among them a 13 year old girl. A 7 year old boy.
They were killed when a bus slammed into stopped traffic.
The driver was an immigrant from China who does not speak English.
Can't read road signs. Can't communicate with law enforcement.
New York State gave him a commercial license anyway.
Democrat-run states handing out CDLs to unqualified drivers need to be held accountable.
The federal government is now investigating New York's licensing records.
It's long overdue.
Praying for the victims and their families. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
