Kinda… I know good people who have posited this. It’s The idea that the IRGC is hitting the targets that Trump can’t hit directly because of the complexity of the political reality in the US. I’ve listened to that argument, I would like it to be true. It’s even possible, in a purely mathematical sense. But, that’s not where my head is. I just think Trump is exercising his leverage over the old status quo and decided that it was intolerable for the US to continue under these terms, and decided to blow it up (literally) to his advantage. I don’t need it to be any more complicated than that to come to the conclusions that I have.
