Pupil Leadership at Foxfield

This morning we led assemblies to both KS1 & KS2 about the roles of the #JLT and our responsibilities this year. We look forward to meeting every class over the next week to gather ideas for ensuring our environment promotes quality learning. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu @MrGoldFoxfield

We welcomed our 60-strong Pupil Leadership Team today and introduced them to the expectations of being a JLT member & the outline of the year. We discussed positive relationships across the school and what these look like & the children already had great feedback! @foxfield

We are proud to share our learning for this half term linked to our core text of ‘The Hunter’ by #PaulGeraghty. Our writing was a non-chronological report on elephants & the danger of poaching and our art was ink printing using natural dyes. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu @carpenter_rob

This year's nominations for Junior Leaders will be taking place over the next few weeks. Mr Gold led our assembly today based on what makes a good leader at Foxfield and shared different pupil leadership avenues. Watch this space for more info! @mrgoldfoxfield @FoxfieldPupil

Take a look at our display, if you dare… for #ArtsFortnight, we focused on the horror genre of British film. From this, we created writing outcomes inspired by Roald Dahl’s ‘The Landlady’, with our digital art making movie posters in classic & modern styles. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

Y6 are proud to share our learning based on our core text ‘Trash’ by Andy Mulligan. We wrote action narratives of the main characters’ escape from the police & our graffiti artwork was inspired by Brazilian street art. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu @ElmFoxfield @BeechFoxfield

Here’s a sneak preview of y6’s display with our art outcome, focusing on Brazilian street art. We used printing to create the brick wall and paint pens for the graffiti in a style and medium influenced by the streets of Brazil. @IPAT_Edu @foxfield @ElmFoxfield @BeechFoxfield

We are proud to introduce our #JLT for this academic year! In our first meeting, we discussed how we can celebrate children’s learning throughout the year & we’ve decided to create a Foxfield News paper. Look out for our fantastic interviews and topics! @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

Today we met with perspective JLT members who shared ideas of how they would make an impact on the school for the better if they’re successful in applying for our #JLT. We are certainly blessed with young leaders here! @foxfield @IPAT_Edu #JuniorLeaders

JLT candidates displayed their leadership skills by meeting with @Chartwells_UK to discuss and decide on the lunchtime menu for after half term. They explained their reasons for choosing certain dishes by thinking about the needs of the rest of the school. @foxfield @IPAT_Edu

Year 4 are excited to share our learning from this half term. In English we’ve written non-chronological reports based on our history topic of Ancient Greece. In art we used coffee to paint designs of Greek vases. @foxfield @FoxfldPalm1 @FoxfldAcer @IPAT_Edu @carpenter_rob

We are proud to share our autumn 1 learning with a focus on our history topic of Ancient Greece. We wrote a myth of Odysseus battling our monster for English and created Greek mosaics in art. @foxfield @FFHumanities @FoxfieldEnglish @InspireSELondon @carpenter_rob

Here is our #ArtsFortnight display highlighting #PeacefulProtests. We used digital art to create our protest poster wearing face coverings that support an area of the #EqualityAct and our writing outcome is a historical report on peaceful protests and their impact. @foxfield
