For everyone with such strong opinions, you should know this boy’s story first. This is Rodrigo. He’s 9 years old. About a month ago, he called the emergency number and saved his mum’s life while she was having a heart attack. He was alone in a car with his two younger siblings at the time. Portugal’s emergency services shared the recording of the call about two weeks ago. It turns out Rodrigo is a Benfica fan, so he was invited to visit the stadium last Monday, and was promised he could walk into the field with the team this Saturday. And that’s exactly what happened. Football can be a vehicle for good. This is a wonderful example of that.

Didn't like this, to be honest. Like it was some sort of travesty to sub him. He's about as good as any Liverpool player I've ever seen and I'll always adore him, but his ego has really come to the fore this season.
