Kieth Andrews added to #Tottenham’s summer list as club start interviewing candidates to succeed Thomas Frank.
Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi also on the list.

@WellOnside Where was that character when he was starring at his feet in post match interviews week after week 20 something plus times last season?

I am so baffled by the Tottenham fans who show nothing but negativity towards Ange Postecoglou. 😵💫
I think that section of our fanbase has really let the club down. We have gone backwards under the “tactical master” Thomas Frank. Ange was apparently too one-dimensional, and Frank was apparently super fluid and adaptable. Yeah ok. 🙄
When Ange speaks players, legends, people listen. His words have real impact and he rightfully gets respect for that. Trust me, that level of communicating is a lot rarer, and way more powerful in football than many people realise. When Frank speaks it’s all fluff, filler words, technical mumbo jumbo cr*p. He loves to sound “super technical”, but there’s no way he gets the same respect as Ange. And some of you might call Ange fat, but his presence is 10x that of Thomas Frank.
You watch the Overlap podcast, and watch Roy Keane. Keane is a big character, strong, fiery, but watch him when Ange enters the room. The respect is as clear as day, and Roy doesn’t give that out very easily.
We messed up, and we’re now paying the price. And the thanks Ange gets from a bunch of Spurs fans is ZERO. The guy delivered the parcel nobody else could, and we returned it to sender. Sums us up. Frustrated beyond belief.
Don’t come at me with that period at Forest either. He clearly made a mistake taking that job. He wanted to prove a point, but it was a rash decision and he come unstuck. There is no question that Ange’s style of play requires a pre-season, and he needs to be able to bring in some players who fit his style. He wasn’t able to do that at Forest. Hence why he’ll now wait for a job with a pre-season. And then watch what he does…

@hotspurreports “… rely heavily on wing-backs.”
Good, good <*checks notes: 1 fit wing back at club*>, good

🇭🇷 A bit more info on Igor Tudor…
His player style is intense and physically demanding style built around a back three system, usually a 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2. His sides rely heavily on wing-backs for width and attacking play.
A key feature of Tudor’s approach is aggressive man to man pressing. Players mark opponents tightly across the pitch, aiming to disrupt build-up and force turnovers. This creates frequent duels and requires high physical and tactical discipline.
In possession, Tudor prioritises directness over control. His teams move the ball forward quickly after regaining it, often attacking within a few passes. The back three spread wide in build-up while midfielders support vertical progression. In the final third, inside forwards operate in half-spaces behind a central striker, who may act as a target man or pressing forward.
Defensively, Tudor uses a high line to compress space, making matches compact and intense. However, this can leave space behind the defence, particularly against quick or well-structured positional sides.
His tactical profile is often compared to Gian Piero Gasperini and Antonio Conte, although Tudor’s football is typically more direct and chaotic.

@FabrizioRomano Thomas Frank’s tactics in a must win game:
Kick long toward Solanke (hold up)
Or Odobert (channel)
Gallagher to press that side to try get 2nd balls.
Xavi wait in Left channel to see if they can bring him in.
Bissouma & Sarr run around a bit.
Everyone else; stay & hoof it.

@RudolphN17 Vinai was part of Assna banter era.
Lange almost took Villa down.
Both living well without them.
Both recruited by this board;
They should be out the door with Frank.
English

Vinai and Lange in favor of Frank remaining in the role with Vinai relentless in his belief that sticking with the same manager will be beneficial long term.
Wider board members and Lewis family have seen enough. Change needed if they backtrack on this position it will be more damaging than I can put into words.
Lots of disagreement around potential interim options. Ryan Mason has not been ruled out.

I’ve just been told, we will be making a change, announcement incoming next 24 hours. Contact is Levy side, rather than Lewis side, but still very much linked into club operations and decisions.

@N_A_1_M_A_D … and it’s not common for players to take time to adapt to the PL?
My point is this; Spurs went into the season without the luxury of giving Xavi any time. It was sink or swim. For him & Spurs.
Despite knowing about the Kulu & Maddison injuries for months before window closed.
English

@FplSkywalker Xavi is only raw to EPL and not raw to professional football.
In the current climate, 22yrs in football is a full international player and an over 150 career appearances.
Frank could've done better with his squad over the past few weeks.
English

@N_A_1_M_A_D Spurs before this week couldn’t create chances. Frank tried 541 & 442 (x2) this week - made it worse defensively.
Spurs are desperate for some creativity & control in #10. A Maddison or Kulu or both when Kudus was recently out - massive difference imo. Xavi is raw & needs time.
English

@FplSkywalker Would Kulu and Madders both co-exist in the same XI with Kudus?
That excuse is kinda dormant now and the players y'all have available are good enough to have a better Home record than what y'all have now.
