#edintravel Can you advise on the timescales around the works at Duddingston/Whisp crossroads. Took me 40 to get from NewCraighall to Greendykes Road today. No alternative routes due to Emergency works at Milton Road and Shawfair Road at Old Craighall also closed.

@edinhelp let the chaos commence. 3 sets of temp traffic lights within 200 yards of each other. Who plans this stuff ? Can you advise what the newest temp lights are for and how long they’ll be in place on Duddingston cross roads ?

@edinhelp 1/2 can you tell me who the Transport Admin is who approved the necessary no doubt works in Niddrie Mains Road ? Yet again poorly planned or carried out traffic measures are causing chaos and unnecessary tailbacks on the road. Bus stop still in use heading towards Fort.

2/2 Fort Kinnaird are preventing any traffic following buses getting through the lights and stopping any traffic heading in the opposite direction from progressing. Come down have a look ? It’s not difficult to sort out and clearly contractors don’t care. Your job. DO IT.

@Edinburgh_CC morning ECC. Can you tell me who the official was that signed off on the roadworks on Niddrie Mains Road ? Currently there is a 2 mile tailback from the traffic lights all the way back to The Fort. 2 mile tailback. Needs looked into. Light sequence is wrong.

@Edinburgh_CC who on the Transport Commitee approved the temporary traffic lights and associated works on Niddrie Mains Road at this time of the year ? The backlog of traffic in both directions is horrendous. No access to Fort Kinnaird as the Xmas winter village opens. Smart !!
