So not only did sanctuary policies facilitate circumstances that allowed an unlicensed, uninsured illegal alien to hit my 22yo daughter and then flee, leaving her permanently and profoundly disabled, our esteemed @GovofCO (sarcasm) will actively hinder needed therapies and services for her as well as hinder my ability to be her full time caregiver because she requires 24/7 care.
While simultaneously throwing millions upon millions of dollars, to services for people like the woman that stole my daughter’s future. Who did not have to pay one cent towards her medical expenses (remember, no insurance).
We were denied the wheelchair Carissa needs and I pay for her physical therapy out of pocket. But people who should not be here will have all their medical needs provided.

Warning: Graphic. A man was RANDOMLY shot in the neck while riding a Lime scooter at 18th and Stout in downtown Denver on 4/3.
According to the victim’s account, he was stopped at a red light minding his own business when an SUV pulled up. A passenger in the car next to him already had his gun out, threatened him, then shot him point blank in the neck as they drove away. No robbery, no fight, nothing. Just RANDOM VIOLENCE.
The victim said blood was pouring everywhere, his arm went dead, and he could barely call @denverpolice because his phone was covered in blood. He almost died but the team at Denver Health resuscitated him.
The original post on r/Denver blew up with hundreds of upvotes and comments but the moderators took down the details pretty quick. That happens a lot when these stories make the city look bad. I’ve always speculated that one of the r/Denver mods works for Mayor Mikey. @reddit
The suspect, 31 year old Anthony Apodaca, is already out on a $75,000 bond.
Apodaca has a short prior criminal record, mostly traffic offenses (driving without a license / insurance) and for being a FOJ for a DV assault in 2022.
Apodaca shot a random person seemingly unprovoked and somehow he is now free in the community ⁉️
Leadership keeps saying “crime is down” and that we are all overreacting. Tell that to the guy who took a bullet to the neck while on a Lime scooter for NO REASON AT ALL.

Broadway & Evans. @DenverPolice won’t pull people over for these “low-level” infractions anymore. Chief Thomas claims it “builds trust” with the community.
Expired temp tags often signal unregistered vehicles, which frequently means no insurance, or worse, a stolen car.
Prioritizing “ trust” over basic enforcement isn’t public safety. It’s a policy that’s making our streets less safe.

Roughly 88% of Nevada’s transportation fuels — including nearly 90% of Southern Nevada’s supply and the Las Vegas area via the Calnev Pipeline — comes from California refineries.
With CA Democrat energy policy forcing the closure of major facilities, this dependency will mean higher prices & tighter supply ahead.
Nevada has virtually ZERO gasoline refining capacity of its own.
Just as Asian and European countries are learning that it is unwise to let their economies be vulnerable foreign geographic choke points --
We recommend Nevada decouple itself from CA energy policy as soon as possible.

Hi. Black dude here. I can trace my family ancestry to slavery. I even know where they were slaves. My mom experienced Jim Crow. I think I’ve watched every episode of “Eyes On the Prize” when I was younger.
With that said…
Can you directly explain to me how the SAVE Act is “Jim Crow 2.0?” Literally every black person I know has ID. Literally every black person I know has a car or at least a ride. Literally every black person I know knows how to vote (well… except the ones with felonies… but they don’t count).
With your advanced white liberal thinking, you must know more than me. Apparently, as I experience daily on this app, white liberals are experts on being black; even more so than actual black folks. Perhaps you could explain it like I’m five. I’d look it up on the internet, but Kathy Hochul has already told me I don’t know what a computer is and Joe Biden said I can’t navigate it, anyway.
