On March 4, 1933, Frances Perkins was appointed FDR's Secretary of Labor, making her the 1st woman appointed to a Cabinet position. She therefore became the first woman in history to enter the U.S. Presidential line of succession. #RememberHerName #WomensHistoryMonth
