@mikemearls @Eric_Menge The amount of people trying to crucify him without understanding that he was talking about a new (non canon) module set in Hommlet is appalling. Kudos to Eric for being so graceful in his responses.

@sandman_AP Piazza della Signoria does not, in fact, have a merry-go-round. That's in Piazza della Repubblica.

The most famous One Piece theorist *Drop the Pizza* in Japan argued yesterday that the true nature of the One Piece is a **merry go round**, and the video has gained a large number of views. What do you think?🤔🤔 youtu.be/gNZuCq-IBe8💡Translation: Theory : The One Piece is a Merry-Go-Round🦄 🌏1. The Link to Florence and Loguetown The place where Gol D. Roger was executed in Loguetown is thought to be inspired by Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy. In real life, this square has a well known merry-go-round, but Eiichiro Oda chose not to include it in the manga. In the current story, it has been revealed that parts of the world have sunk beneath the sea. Based on this, the theory suggests that the missing merry-go-round may now lie at the bottom of the ocean, and that it is actually the One Piece located at Laugh Tale. 🌏2. Joy Boy and the Theme of Children The name Joy Boy suggests fun and happiness. The theory says that Roger laughed at Laugh Tale because what he found was something joyful and childlike, like a merry-go-round. Children are an important theme in the story. Luffy’s birthday is on Children’s Day in Japan, and Garp often talks about protecting the next generation. These points suggest that the final treasure is something meant to bring joy, especially to children. Buggy being a clown may also be a hint. Clowns are strongly linked to amusement parks, so his role early in the story could be a clue that the final destination is something like an amusement park. 🌏3. The Missing Energy Dr. Vegapunk mentioned a lost energy source. This theory suggests that Roger was “too early” because the energy needed to operate the merry-go-round did not exist at that time. This energy may be related to Nika’s power. The story also often shows things that spin or rotate, such as the windmill in Foosha Village and the patterns on Devil Fruits. These may connect to the idea of a merry-go-round. 🌏4. Connections to Earlier Parts of the Story This idea also links to earlier parts of One Piece. Arlong Park is called a “park,” which can suggest an amusement space. This may show that the idea of a theme park has been present since early in the story. After Enel, a false god, is defeated, a place similar to an amusement area appears. Based on this pattern, the theory suggests that after Imu, the final god, is defeated, the entire world could become a large scale amusement park. 🌏5. Other Symbolic Links The theory also points to the fleur de lis symbol, which appears often in Florence and looks similar to the symbol connected to Imu and the Nerona family. This is taken as another clue linking Florence to the core mystery. Finally, the name of the crew’s first ship, the Going Merry, may hint at “merry-go-round🔥,” suggesting that this idea has been part of the story from the beginning. 🎀In conclusion, this theory sees the One Piece not as a normal treasure, but as a symbol of joy and play. It imagines a merry-go-round waiting for the right time and the right energy to be brought to life.

@McGowanJohnN Side initiative helps. Encourage players to take their turns at the same time, coordinating their actions. Trust them with dice roll and that stuff. It's not a perfect solution, but it helps. Also, roll it for every round to keep things hot and unpredictable.

So much time goes into individual initiative it’s unreal. Only method I can think of to have success is to be an absolute maniac about how fast players need to take their turn or get skipped.
Mike Mearls@mikemearls

@thiseffingm Initiative is one of those mechanics that needs to shift based on the number of players. Four or less? Individual works great. More than that, I prefer to use team initiative.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

@FrancCacc It's all bad, but there's a difference between "People talking about a robbery that took place" and "The people who did the robbery"... I don't know how you'd regulate "sharing" the material once it's leaked, but you *can* punish those who steal and post unauthorized material.

You packed a lot of confusion into four sentences, Ezra, so let me untangle it slowly. First, this line: "So where is Israel's ancestral homeland if not Israel?" You are doing what Zionism always does. You take a religious or mythic claim that some Jews have a spiritual connection to a piece of land and you inflate it into a modern property deed for a 21st-century ethnostate. Ancestry is not a land title. If it were, half the planet would be on ships going back to somewhere else. Most Jews alive today do not have continuous, lived, generational ties to that land. Most Palestinians do. That is the difference you keep skipping. "Ancestral homeland" for you is a slogan. For them it is the house key, the family orchard, the graveyard, and the village your side turned into a pine forest. Second: "They don't have a right to exist you suggest?" No state on earth has a mystical "right to exist." States are political arrangements. They are born, split, reunify, collapse, get renamed. People have the right to exist. People have the right to safety, dignity, and return. When someone asks "Does Israel have a right to exist," what they usually mean is: "Do Jews have the right to live in Palestine without being slaughtered or expelled?" The answer to that is obviously yes. But that is not what your slogan is doing. "Right to exist" in this context means: "Does a self-defined Jewish state have the right to maintain a demographic majority and political supremacy even if it requires dispossession, siege, and permanent second-class status for the original inhabitants?" That is not a right. That is a demand for eternal impunity. You can have equal rights for everyone between the river and the sea. Or you can have a Jewish ethnocracy. You cannot have both. The "right to exist" language is just your way of avoiding saying out loud which one you choose. Third: "Palestinians have long lived alongside Israel in Gaza strip for millennia" Israel has not existed for millennia. Gaza has not always been a fenced-in strip. You are mashing words together to hide the timeline. For millennia, there were people living in that land: Canaanites, Philistines, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Arabs, and many others in between. What you call "Israel" today is a modern state built in 1948 on top of their continuity. Gaza as we know it now is not some cute example of coexistence. It is the concentrated result of ethnic cleansing. It is where many of the refugees from the villages your side emptied ended up. They did not "live alongside Israel." They were fenced, bombed, starved, and periodically massacred by it. So let me answer you plainly. Israel's "ancestral homeland" is the same soil where Palestinians planted their olive trees, buried their parents, and passed down their houses long before your state had a flag. I am not saying Jews have no place there. I am saying no group gets to turn myth into a weapon, erase the people already living there, and then hide behind the sacred phrase "right to exist" every time someone points to the bodies. If Palestine truly stood as a free, equal land for all its inhabitants, from river to sea, Israel as an exclusivist project would not "stop existing." It would simply lose its alibi.

@nxt888 So where is Israel's ancestral homeland if not Israel? They don't have a right to exist you suggest? Palestinians have long lived alongside Israel in Gaza strip for millennia Careful of the AI lies out of Palestine 😆 x.com/GAZAWOOD1/stat…

Sigh Same old thing… I’ve said it a million times: I’m not against the technology, I’m against its unethical use. For every one “undiscovered genius” in the middle of nowhere who studies storytelling and only uses software that works from licensed sources to make their heartfelt student film you’ve got ten thousand grifter Fratboy douchebags making Velma with big tits and proclaiming themselves the next Spielberg. When faced with the slightest pushback, the blathering genAI acolytes you cater to jump straight onto the bigoted “old man yelling at clouds” conclusion that this has anything to do with “advancements” and “technology.” All I’ve ever called for is that we pump the brakes and have a nuanced discussion on the issue. That’s it. That’s all. The response I get from your camp is always the same: “Step aside, old man!” The fact that so few of you can even comprehend the nature of the issue’s ethical dilemmas is astounding and indicative of the core of the problem: You got so excited about what COULD be done, you didn’t stop to think about whether or not it SHOULD be done. I highly recommend you watch my video on this topic and get back to me with your reaction, because what we truly need are more honest discussions on the matter and less disingenuous rhetoric. m.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EPN4

I'd like to share a very important health update for the Library of Ohara. I'd appreciate if you could give it a read if you have the time (TL;DR summary at the end): As some of you know since I've brought it up before, I've been suffering from severe health issues across the past decade of my life. A lot of it involved physical problems, such as chronic fatigue that left me bedridden, incessant physical pain that tortured me continuously, and many more issues that made it hard to live a regular life. But at the core of it all, so much of it was caused by a complex post-traumatic stress disorder caused by harsh childhood abuse, one far more severe than most average cases. Over several years though, I always held the desire to never give up, to overcome both my mental and physical health issues. Through years of work on therapy, medical work, and personal life improvements, I kept making progress, even if the journey took many years and many setbacks. However, this past year, I feel I made the most considerable step in my life. Despite some lingering issues, I was starting to see results, starting to live a life in which I didn't live spending every day in constant fear. Thanks to that, I've been able to achieve incredible things this year, including getting to travel cross-country across Japan, work on personal life projects such as learning how to draw, and more than anything, just learning to live in peace. Quite frankly, during this year I felt the best I ever have in my adult life. It's been incredible. Unfortunately, over the last months of the year, I had the misfortune of suffering from a couple of health incidents. Things that aren't very serious or permanent medically speaking, but that I feel unfortunately caused that trauma to stir again, which resulted in a serious relapse of my health issues as my trauma reactivated again. Thanks to all the work I had done, this didn't hit as quickly or as strongly, but sadly it still aggravated itself to the point of now being in a state where I keep having daily panic attacks and feel so emotionally disassociated that it's hard to keep things in balance, on top of the physical symptoms. Medically speaking, it makes sense: for all the progress I've made I'm still only halfway in my healing journey. And momentary relapses, especially under misfortunate circumstances like these, can happen. But emotionally speaking, I can't deny the frustration that it is to have achieved such incredible highs this year and yet being unable to appreciate them now during its closure. Like previous times it's happened, relapses like these are such a tough blow to motivation because it gives the false illusion that it's an inescapable cycle of suffering. And the thing is, I know it isn't, I know I'll get better again, but it's hard to really have confidence in that when you're stuck in the toxicity that is the negative headspace caused by constant anxiety on a clinical level beyond normal control. As a result of this situation, you may have realized that a few of the latest videos have struggled a bit in their release schedule. Similarly, projects like the map, which is practically near completion, have also been delayed as it's hard to work on anything at the moment. This has been adding extra stress, because while I don't want to force myself to make content if I don't feel well, lowering ad revenue and financial struggles burdened by rising costs make it so that it's harder for me to not put out videos, which is all the more frustrating. Still, I hope you can be patient if there will be delays or other issues over the coming weeks because of my current condition, and I'm grateful for your understanding. What this year has taught me more than anything else, is that happiness and peace in life don't come from reaching a point where everything is perfect and all your issues vanish away. But it's about learning to let go of trying to control everything and accept that things will happen in life, good and bad. That real joy isn't about achieving a perfect utopia, but learning to enjoy life even when things don't go right. So for as harsh as this period has been, I want to keep believing that things will continue to improve, and that even among this struggle there are things I can cherish and look back on. For as much as the mental negativity within me would have me think otherwise, I believe in the strength that took me this far. So I hope that, whatever struggles may befall you, that you can continue to believe in that hope as well! And I hope as things improve again, that I can continue creating a lot more over the coming year and beyond, as there's still a lot of ideas I have in store and would like to share! Thank you for your endless support across time and I hope that we can continue this journey together until the end, and beyond! TL;DR: Though this year I have made incredible progress with my health issues, an unfortunate relapse has left me once again in a debilitated position that makes it harder to publish content. However, I have faith that like in the past, I can recover once more and be at peace with myself. Thank you for your understanding and support!

This scene right here, in my opinion, is the most important scene of the entire series. An old woman who is no hero and had "no obligation" to help that kid decided to do so anyway, and with that single action, changed his future entirely. "If only someone, anyone helped me that day..." - Shimura Tenko This proves that anyone can be a hero. Anyone has the power to do things with much greater impact than we can even imagine. Like a butterfly effect. Deku and Uraraka reacting to that scene is also super important... they're the ones who tried saving the villains that were neglected when younger (Tenko and Himiko) but sadly they were too late. For them, seeing people being there, finally extending a helping hand just in time is the proof that society is learning and healing. This one scene is the whole essence of what My Hero Academia wants to teach us viewers. You can be a hero.
