Today, we proudly recognize Marc Kahre Day in the City of Las Vegas as we honor the life and legacy of Officer Marc Kahre, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community.

Join us next week as we honor the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community. 💙🚔 The annual Southern Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Police Memorial Park, 3250 Metro Academy Way. 📍 The ceremony will include a 21-gun salute and the reading of the names of fallen officers. @mayoroflasvegas, @LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill and @FrancislovesNV are also expected to be in attendance as we come together to remember and honor their legacy.

Splash pad season is back! ☀️ All city of Las Vegas splash pads are now open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sept. 30. 💦 The water is clean and safe, just like the tap water at home.

A new regional pickleball complex is under construction at Wayne Bunker Park. 🌳 This $12 million project will: • Add 24 lighted courts 💡 • Nearly double the city’s total, bringing us to 59 public pickleball courts 🏓 • Become the largest pickleball complex in the city Funded through the BLM’s SNPLMA program, the new pickleball courts are expected to open in early 2027. The new @LVMPD substation near Hualapai Way and Grand Teton Drive broke ground in late 2025. 🏗️ The $27.2 million project will bring a 13,300-square-foot substation to serve the Providence, Skye Canyon and Sunstone neighborhoods as additional public safety resources for the growing Northwest. 🚔 It will also feature a brand-new two-acre park with picnic spots, a skate park, a walking trail and a playground!  🛝 🛹 🌳 The park is partially funded by a generous $1 million donation from @GVGrocery, and both are expected to open by early 2027. #StateOfVegas2026 — @FrancislovesNV @Brune4Vegas
