So we're supposed to believe that the PM’s most senior adviser had his phone stolen, and didn't feel the need to report it to anyone in the security services? Not only that, we're supposed to believe that his messages aren't backed up anywhere? How stupid do they think we are?

This week I have asked a number of times about proscribing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Today I asked the Prime Minister directly, and still, no real answer. Instead, @Keir_Starmer says the UK’s proscription powers “are not designed for a state organisation.” That sounds less like a reason and more like an excuse for inaction. The IRGC spreads terror, threatens British citizens, targets Iranian dissidents, and fuels antisemitism and extremism, including here in the UK. Other countries have acted. The United States, Canada, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have all designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation. So why won’t this government? Labour should stop hiding behind process, proscribe the IRGC, and protect our citizens, particularly the UK’s Jewish community, who face rising intimidation and hate.

Good to know for future reference that the Police say a repugnant artwork showing Jews eating babies is “not directly abusive or insulting to Jews” and has not reached the threshold to be considered either a hate crime or a non-crime hate incident. @Keir_Starmer Dithering and delaying and an inability to act is bound to come in handy occasionally.

Moments like this tells you about leadership. The Tories and Reform would have rushed us into the conflict in the Middle East without thinking through the consequences it would have for British people. My Labour government will always make decisions in the national interest.

TFW Ed Miliband is running the government.

Journalists can continue to probe on the Mandelson scandal. But the only person who can properly hold Keir Starmer to account over it every week is Kemi Badenoch. Didn't ask a single question on it today, just made a quick joke about it.

I've now spoken to two former Government Spads. Both were senior, both lost their Government phones. In both cases their first approach was to the Government internal security services, who then brokered a liaison with the Met to ensure the issue was dealt with properly.
