Surely the previous mural was more powerful, historic and reflective!

Every detail counts. 🗺️ Add street names, landmarks, stations, or a What3Words location in your StreetLink alert. It helps outreach teams act faster to support someone sleeping rough. 👉 streetlink.org.uk #StreetLink

The country’s biggest suicide prevention awareness campaign, the Baton of Hope, is underway in Tameside today (Friday, September 12). Led by local mental health charity The Anthony Seddon Fund, the baton is making its way across the borough as part of a nationwide journey to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding suicide. Tameside is representing Greater Manchester as one of just 20 stops across the UK. More than 50 people, all of whom have been personally impacted by suicide, are carrying the baton and stopping at key landmarks along the route. The day began from The Anthony Seddon Fund’s centre on George Street, Ashton-under-Lyne. The baton is now making its way to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust’s headquarters, before visiting Portland Basin Museum, the Tameside Cycle Circuit, and Samuel Laycock High School, with an expected arrival at Hartshead Pike around midday. This afternoon, the route continues to Mossley Cross, Stamford Park (1.30pm), Stalybridge Fire Station, and Stalybridge Celtic Football Club, before the final stop at Stalybridge Civic Hall at 4.30pm. 📸: The Anthony Seddon Fund

What an amazing service!! Bridging the stigma of homelessness and facilitating an open door policy building those much needed trusting relationships and homelessness! Our community needs more of these! #communitycare #publichealth #homelessness
Justine Richbell@nursejustineR

Spent time with the ANPs at @WellspringStkpt today. Such an eye opening experience. Their open door policy means anyone can walk in and be met with compassion, practical help, and hope. Inspiring to hear first hand from people who’ve gone from the streets to employment and secure housing with their support that now volunteer helping others. What an amazing place ! #Homelessness #CommunityCare
