The average life expectancy is 78. The average Baby Boomer is 75. Baby Boomers own 40% of the homes in America. Do the math and tell me a housing crash isn't coming. On a positive note, this will be a huge opportunity for young people. Be patient.

That not how it works. Tariff is not added on to MSRP. It’s added on to the wholesale cost. So if Nike import shoes that retail for $120 but the retailer gets them from Nike for $75 the tariff is on the $75. So with a 10% tariff the shoe goes up just $7.5 not $12. So about half what you belive it to be

Can someone explain why it’s legal to do 3% increase on rent each year, when our pay is not going up 3% each year? Like I’m literally being priced out of my apartment where I live where am I supposed to go?

If China had its own version of an Elon Musk, I bet they’d be backing him with everything they’ve got. They’d remove all obstacles, pour in as many resources, and line up the country behind a clear goal to win. And if that ever happened, the U.S.-China race wouldn’t even be close. That’s why, whether people like him or not, we should recognize what we have right now. Elon has helped put America back in the lead in areas where we would have never had a chance against China… like electric vehicles, reusable rockets, satellite internet, AI, robotics, advanced manufacturing. Without this kind of entrepreneur and relentless determination, it’s tough to say we’d be leading the way in any of these fields today. You don’t have to agree with everything he says to see the impact. Vision at this scale is super rare. And the ability to execute on it is even rarer. It’s just sad to see many Americans treat him like trash, when in reality, he’s a national treasure than we may never witness again.

You could also just do a local sales tax to cover those things… the problem is with property tax you force people to leave their homes if they can’t pay ten of thousands in yearly property tax. Also makes owning a home that much harder for young people. Why should we pay the government to live in our home?

Property tax is literally the only tax that makes intuitive sense. A local tax based on the property you choose to live on that goes toward things such as roads, police, fire departments, etc. that are amenities directly connected to that particular property. Meanwhile, the federal government just sends your federal income tax dollars to fund Israel and gay pride parties at the Department of Labor. Of all the taxes, property tax is the least retarded and I’m tired of hearing boomers complain about it.

A million dollars in gold is hard to tote around. A million in bitcoin can be on your flash drive. Plus I can send it to another person at the speed of light with minimal fees. To send a million in gold takes a shit yon of effort. Gold has its place for wealth storage in a free market. Bitcoin along with gold and other PMs are the future. We need to get off a purely fiat monetary system. End the Fed.
