In 2008 the "R699 car scam" , orchestrated by Satinsky One to Eight in South Africa, misled around 29 000 customers into buying vehicles with promises of low monthly payments "R699" and advertising income. 😩
2011–2012: Major financial institutions like WesBank declined to participate in the scheme after internal investigations flagged it as unsustainable and similar to a Ponzi scheme.
Victims were locked into high-interest, full-price financing contracts when the company stopped paying them and collapsed, resulting in a widespread "ponzi-like" scheme borrowers were actually liable to banks for full financing costs.
Employees reported unethical practices, including falsifying loan applications and altering car odometers.
"Earn While You Drive" customers were promised monthly earnings for placing advertisements on their cars. Payments often failed, and contracts were cancelled without justification.
The scheme left thousands of individuals in severe financial distress with unaffordable debt.🚮

@daddyhope Good people of Zimbabwe; since most of u on this twitter believe wat ever is being said by chinono, this is just nothing but some1 who wants to get paid for tarnishing the good image of Zimbabwe. Our country has good policies which support FDIs and local investment. Amanga lawa

A Zimbabwean gold mine in Gwanda, owned by foreign investors, has been invaded by ZANUPF mobs led by the local MP, Moses Langa, who says the invasion has the blessing of the President. Yet another example of how there are no property rights in Zimbabwe.

I went to Lifestyle to buy some plants today and I was served by a South African who speaks fluent Shona.
She got married to a Zimbabwean in 2010, and it got me wondering that if a South African who lives in South Africa can learn Shona and speak it fluently through marriage, what makes some Zimbabweans born to two Zimbabwean parents fail to speak their mother tongue. Her two children speak fluent Shona as well.
I find it embarrassing when some Zimbabwean parents actually think it is a flex that their children do not speak Shona or Ndebele or their respective vernacular languages.

@sankofa360 It's not the lion's fault that the leopard can't afford to pay influencers like him
English

The Lion being the king of the Jungle is a lie. A false western conception.
According to African tradition and folklore, the lion is not, has not and will never be the king of the Jungle.
The King of the Jungle is the Leopard.
The lion doesn't even live in the jungle or rainforests. The lion lives in savannah. In open grass land.
Our traditional costumes like the ones in the pictures are that of a leopard.
The Isi agu attire of the Igbos is the leopard. For the Igbos Odum is Lion while Agu is the Leopard.
Agu holds a far more cultural significance than Odum. Powerful men are usually referred to as Agu (Leopard) not Odum.
For the Yoruba, Amotekum is the leopard, Kinium is lion. Amotekum holds a far more spiritual and cultural significance in yoruba Cosmology than kinium.
For the Zulus, Ingwe is the leopard.
Lion is ingonyama. Ingwe (The leopard) has more significance for the Zulus than the lion.
Across Africa the belief is the same.
How can an animal that doesn't even live in the Jungle be the King of the Jungle? What's the sense in that?
Just another example of how western misconceptions and false narratives are portrayed as the truth.

@KaberiaCommoner And just add a few poor white people as students or teachers
English

If you want to legally rob people in Kenya especially the middle class...
Without harming them,
Just start a primary school and give it a glorious name...
But,
In between the name and school add INTERNATIONAL.
KING'S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.
In the curriculum, add things like Ballet, Chess, Band, Taekwondo, and Swimming.
Now put whatever figure you want on the fee structure.
Rob them.
Buy a bus,
Charge 17,400 as transport fee per month.
Steal,
Organise a parents’ sports day every term,
Steal,
A trip outside the country once a term,
Put whatever figure, let’s say 312,047 to Egypt for four days.
Interviews every term, charge them 5,000.
Put the admission fee at 15,000.
Even pre-school.
Uniforms to be sourced from one very specific shop at twelof milyen.
OMOKAAA,
Mark you,
The curriculum is CBC,
King's International School is only based in Embakasi,
All the pupils are Kenyan,
Mr Wafula, the head teacher, has no passport, and the furthest he has ever gone is Mombasa for a teachers’ retreat.
Class teachers are Chepkor, Wanjala, @FGaitho237, Madam Selly, Polo Kimani, @Josh001J, and @Degrata254.
HOD is @Kotsocha_ke
For lunch, instead of cheese burgers and pizzas, serve them githeri and cabbage.
Breakfast weka mkate na smokie.
Call yourself a Director.
Get rich, NO DCI.
Pesa ni yao, akili ni yako!

Next time, use your own collection, not something ripped from Instagram. We cannot learn anything when you share pictures of watches that are not yours.
The purpose of sharing mine was not to brag, but to talk about the importance of value over time when it comes to collecting. That is all.

Phrophet DrCde Prof Madzibaba Adamski Jahman@jahman_adamski
lol one of my watches is worth more than your entire net worth, it’s only some of us don’t talk all that much 🤪
