Doug Ford is appointing himself Mayor of Niagara and Simcoe, if vicariously through the chairs. This is unacceptable, it’s an affront to democracy.

The Army Chief of Staff, a combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked Pete Hegseth why he was blocking the promotions of two Black officers and two female officers who had earned them. Hegseth refused to answer. Then he fired him. Nine U.S. officials told NBC News that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military. Hegseth has now fired or sidelined more than a dozen generals and admirals. He is an out-of-control, unqualified former TV host and nobody in the Republican Party will say a word about it because they don’t want to make Trump angry. nbcnews.com/politics/natio…

In both age groups, children with LC were more likely to have difficulty paying attention, limited fun with friends, and IEPs. Let us remember, men only reached the moon because of the tireless work of a segregated black woman who performed math none of them could. She was also born in WV and attended West Virginia University, where a scholarship program exists for other black students in STEM named after her. Katherine Johnson did this in a time when just getting an education as a black woman was far more difficult then it ever needed to be. May you look at every NASA rocket and think of her. She earned it.

As of yesterday, Ontario is out of compliance with the Canada Health Act because Doug Ford's government missed the federal deadline to fund nurse practitioners. Now Ontarians are being forced to pay out of pocket for primary care. 2.5 million people don't have a family doctor, and this Minister has no plan to fix it.

This private facility is now owned by Schlegel Heath Care. Schlegel long term care homes were taken over by the military during the early months of the pandemic. Soldiers found residents dead of dehydration, choking and neglect, covered in urine and feces.

I really hope that @MarkJCarney has hired an army of forensic accountants to check & double check every single penny handed over to @fordnation for this housing announcement & that it will be used as intended. Billions of $ are missing from health transfers.

Is anyone else offended by the Ford government posts on X and commercials on TV touting their accomplishments, followed by “Paid for by the Government of Ontario? “Paid for by the taxpayers of Ontario” would be more accurate and honest. #FordFailsOntarians
