Astounding. Canada's leader is one of the very few world leaders who holds the overwhelming confidence of the public. Quite possibly the only one. It reminds a bit of Jean Chretien because he also took office during a dark, cynical time, and quickly won over public confidence, and then he held it. This is a far darker time than that which makes it an even more profound accomplishment. Bc it could have easily gone the other way, just look at Keir Starmer who is absolutely hated by the Brits.
