The Declaration of Independence is almost 250 years old. The principles it outlines are still very relevant today. It is our right, it is our duty.

Life pro tip. Not enough people talk about this. The secret to having a "fulfilling" life is doing new things. Radically doing new things. Consistently. Every day. New activities, people, goals, even something as simple as trying new foods. Life feels longer when you're a kid because every day is packed with almost infinite amount of new learning. As you get older, you've already acclimated to your environment, the new inputs stop, so your perception of time speeds up drastically. You fall into routine, which is a time accelerant. If you want to feel like you have a long infinite lifespan, like you did as a child, you MUST be having new experiences, which slows time down.

systemd has merged a commit by dylanmtaylor to collect and store users's birth dates in compliance with Brazil and California age verification laws -- which has been a controversial topic in Linux communities the same dev (dylanmtaylor) tried to push a similar change to archinstall (Arch Linux), which has, so far, been denied -- but the discussion was reopened after being closed for a while there are also reports of commentators having their posts removed or even being banned from the r/linux subreddit for posting opposing views to age verification laws and compliance how can the subreddit of the leading OPEN-source project be so CLOSED for different perspectives? makes you wonder... reddit is a terrible place for open debates, i'm more than convinced at this point

SystemD has added birth date storage in order to comply with Brazil and California Age Verification laws. Let that sink in. A Linux init system now handles Age Verification. github.com/systemd/system…

Moderators of the r/Linux subreddit are now censoring posts which talk about Age Verification. Not only are posts being removed, but I’ve heard from multiple Reddit users who have been banned from r/Linux for expressing opposition to Age Verification.

After last nights and the constant doxxing attempts and threats from people who want to attack me largely due to politicians and leftist hate filled rhetoric as I expose billion dollar fraud schemes stealing from taxpayers I’ve decided it’s time to raise money for security cost once again unfortunately You can donate here: blacklineguardianfund.com If you cannot donate no pressure whatsoever, please like and share this so it can get in the eyes of those that can. God bless, Nick

@bourne_beth2345 @ucdavis People trying to dox me in real time Expose fraud and have you life threatened 24/7 “Run him out of town” for what? Exposing fraud? This is what happens when leftist paint you as a villain for doing something good for the country. Fraudsters always complain the loudest.

Democrats are currently living the nightmare: 47 exhausted, diaper-wearing senators rotating like hungover shift workers at 3 a.m., clutching that podium for dear life so one missed bathroom break doesn’t hand Trump’s voter ID bill a 53-vote win. No nuclear option. No rule change. Just pure, brutal stamina warfare. One gap in coverage = bill passes on simple majority while they’re still mid-sentence whining about 'voter suppression.' Meanwhile America watches live as they try (and fail) to explain why: Needing ID for guns = fine Needing ID for banking = fine Needing ID for college = fine Needing ID to vote = LITERALLY HITLER Schumer’s AR-15 brain fart was the opening act. This filibuster trap is the main event. Grab the popcorn. The meltdown is thermonuclear. (article below)

@heyimrob_ @Shyguymask99 Has it stopped being laggy and unintuitive? GIMP's lag and bad interface is part of why people have had such a hard time leaving adobe behind. Thankfully other apps came along.

I feel validated that people hate GIMP now. Like 10 years ago in the 2010s everybody would recommend it like it's the best software ever, but when I tried it I found the UI insanely shit & confusing to work with. I quickly went back to paint .net and I still use it to this day.

@Shyguymask99 It was always super laggy too. Even if you eventually figured out the terrible interface, it would take forever to do what you told it too. And it was like that for years. I tried several times. I have never and will never recommend GIMP.

@LeaderJohnThune Shouldn't you be trying to convince them instead of condemning them? I mean... they do deserve it, but if you're doing "debate", you should be trying to win votes. Otherwise why are you debating? Just get to the talking filibuster already.

There’s only one way to be sure that only Americans are voting in our elections: Voters have to prove they’re citizens when they register to vote. Passing this requirement should be a no-brainer, but Democrats roundly oppose this commonsense policy.

Fox: "People want to know why the Senate has a majority of Republicans and they can't pass it..." Thune: "To get around the 60 vote threshold, you would have to nuke the filibuster and there aren't the votes for that. It's a math issue. It isn't a question of leadership."

How many of your followers have a passport? Maybe 50%. How many have an official birth certificate (you don't get one without asking). Less than 50%. This is a bill designed to prevent people from voting. Non-citizens voting is not an issue. Instead of following Eric go look it up

🚨 BREAKING: Sen. John Kennedy is now moving to put the SAVE America Act as RECONCILIATION, which only needs 50+1 votes YES! DO IT! 🔥 "We HAVEN'T TRIED." "If this bill is as IMPORTANT as everybody says — and I think it is — we're talking about the trust of the American people in our elections...we should try it through reconciliation." "We have yet to try crafting a SAVE Act that passes [reconciliation]!" This would be huge. All we need is 50 if this gets done.

🚨 UPDATE: This feature will only be available to premium/premium+ subscribers on X. Also, it’s worth repeating, this can’t be used to punish bad posts you don’t like. Look at the QTd post, it’s for reporting spam and AI slop, etc. Not “this is a dumb take.” Don’t let people run with a fake narrative.
Autism Capital 🧩@AutismCapital

🚨 FYI: When you hit the thumbs down dislike button these are the options you get. There’s no option for “dumb f**king take” so don’t worry lmao 😂 It’s mainly for reporting AI spam and people shilling links. Although “incorrect or misleading” may have potential for abuse.

As someone who worked at Reality Labs: the Metaverse had real legs but was obliterated by middle management completely out of touch with how young people actually use technology. I built a V1 tool that game developers genuinely needed, and the moment it was done, it got shipped to a team in London (to die), and I was reassigned to a "higher-priority project" that zero developers asked for. Multiply that by every team, and you'll understand why this never took off yet cost 80 billion.

JUST IN: Meta announces they'll be shutting down the Metaverse, after pouring $80,000,000,000.00 into the project.
