A few years ago tech felt untouchable. Big salaries. Lots of perks. More freedom than other traditional high paying industries. Not just during the Zirp era, but even in the 2010s they had the upper hand. Today, it’s a different story. Layoffs are constant. Workloads have doubled. Negotiating leverage has evaporated. Remote work is fading fast. Raises are minimal, if at all. Promotions are frozen, delayed, or completely off the table. Tech is starting to feel a lot like every other industry these days.
