How'd that go again? Fans who talk about him with a sense of revisionism or somehow longing for him either didn't live through what he did to the club or did & haven't learned a thing from it. The club are recovering financially to this day. Alongside the £728m in debt, Manchester United have just £60.9 million in available cash. They owe £360m in transfer fees, £209m in the next 12 months. The bills of Woodward's previous deals are still coming due. You can talk about revenues, or commercial appeal, but the club are still hamstrung by disastrous handling of finances 2013-2024 & entire Glazer tenure. It is not fixed with one Champions League qualification. The revolving credit facility (£400m) can't just be maxed out at will either because of the previously mentioned factors. It is a last resort, the same way you wouldn't max a credit card on top of significant debt. I'm tired of seeing supposed bearer of standards who don’t understand this & instead choose to spread misinformation to the fanbase. They either don't understand, can't, or worse, do & choose to ignore it.
