🇺🇸 On this Independence Day, I’m struggling to celebrate. The Declaration of Independence was about fighting tyranny, living free, and defending life, liberty, and property. The men who best embody those ideals today-Roger Ver, Ian Freeman, and Roman Storm-are either in prison or facing life behind bars. They are political prisoners of Biden’s War on Crypto. 🧨 Roger Ver ran for office in California as a Libertarian. During a televised debate he condemned the ATF for murdering children at Waco. ATF employees were in the audience and retaliated by charging him for “selling fireworks on eBay,” making him the only person ever jailed for that non-crime. Roger, who should have been immortalized in a Norman Rockwell painting, is now enduring a second round of persecution driven by the Biden administration’s CBDC push under Executive Order 14067. Determined to silence “Bitcoin Jesus,” the DOJ and IRS used tactics straight out of the East German Stasi: they lied to a grand jury, withheld exculpatory evidence, and sent armed IRS agents into his lawyer’s office to seize privileged attorney-client documents, a breach that should terrify every American. They then retroactively rewrote tax rules without notice or a chance for Roger to respond. As a result, he has been marooned in Spain for 430 days fighting extradition to the United States, where he now faces 109 years in prison for daring to promote sound-money alternatives to central-bank tyranny. 🕊️ Ian Freeman introduced Roger to Bitcoin and spent over a decade peacefully advocating its use to promote liberty and voluntaryism. He supported causes like Bitcoin Not Bombs and built a crypto-based economy in New Hampshire. He was entrapped, targeted, and convicted. He is now serving 8 years in prison. 🛡️ Roman Storm came to America seeking freedom. He created Tornado Cash-open-source software that helps people protect their privacy. For this, he now faces decades in prison. Roman exercised his First Amendment right to publish code and his Fourth Amendment right to protect privacy. These three men were all targeted under Biden’s Executive Order 14067. This is the same order that launched the push for a Central Bank Digital Currency.
