Polymarket will be this cycle's OpenSea. Permanently delayed token launch. Huge raises at 11 figure valuations. Product category name definer. Perpetually buggy and often broken user interface. No real technological moat. No sustainable revenue model. When bubble pops so will it.

we knew from day 1 that our architecture was not great for scaling BUT it allowed us to move MUCH faster early on in the development process. up to $500-$700 in server bills, we were just eat the cost as it was not worth the trouble to migrate. $2MM in volume and over half a million runs later, we're finally paying off this tech debt in order to hit our ambitious scaling goals more on this soon

@whatslukedoing ownership does not matter cause studios can still shutdown games, even the onchain ones cause "onchain" games depend on more than a bunch of contracts floating around in the ether

"We don't want play-to-earn, we want ownership" Real ownership makes a game play-to-earn whether people want it or not The Ideal = I can sell items when I am done playing with the game In reality, ownership = I sell items or currency while I am playing the game = play-to-earn

@JungleSilicon great minds think alike, think the .zip decompressing and compressing works good implementing that for something on my end too

i'm considering just getting all the world images and using heavy compression in a .zip or similar that you download.

one of the big optimisation tasks involved in building inkwell is how to effectively *store* and *retrieve* world data and images. - worlds have thousands of resources (sprites, depth maps, masks, sound fx, music etc). - each world has unique assets
