@AnnaBower That’s what the damn hearing was for. This judge should’ve just sanctioned them right there. They weren’t prepared too bad. These are the little micro ways in which a party behaving badly gets extension after extension and with every extension is a lack of accountability.🤬

At Social Media Addiction Trial in Los Angeles... jurors just asked a (seemingly) very telling question: “For verdict form “compensatory damages and claim of punitive conduct,” does the entire group answer the verdict form, irregardless of how individuals voted? Or do only individuals who answered “yes” to question 2 or 7 on the verdict form for Meta or YouTube answer the questions for damages”

@TakeThatNurses @KattN0tWilliams When you file an appeal, you have to attach certified evidence - mainly what happened at the trial level. And part of that is getting transcripts, instructions and orders. This is why appeals are very expensive

@marcorandazza @KattN0tWilliams This is why so many police misconduct cases end in settlement. But if they were to file an appeal, Afroman would arguably file an appeal as well in response to all the claims that got kicked by the court. He should be entitled to attorneys fees and costs.

@marcorandazza @KattN0tWilliams In many cases, yes. But seriously in a small town these people don’t have a lot of money I’m sure. Appeals cost money. Trials cost money. Good lawyers will also advise their clients when to stop. Cut your losses. This is one of those times.

I watched jury selection because the judge appointed some podunk local channel to film the trial and they were clueless. They showed the potential jurors. The voir dire was thorough with the crazy judge interjecting himself constantly. It was a pool of white people as I understand that is the makeup of that area.
