"It’s great to be with you in the people’s house." This week, NASA’s Artemis II crew visited the U.S. Capitol to speak with lawmakers, congressional staff, and special guests about their historic 10-day mission around the Moon and back. And, yes, Rise was there too!

I am so glad the @WhitestownIN and @ZionsvilleIN Police Departments could visit my office and the U.S. Capitol during National Police Week. Our local law enforcement officers risk their lives to keep our communities safe every day. I thoroughly hope you enjoyed your tour of the Capitol and Washington D.C., and thank you for protecting and serving Hoosiers!

I want to END waste, fraud, and abuse in our federal programs so that Hoosiers' tax dollars are used responsibly and the money goes to the people who truly need it, not padding the pockets of fraudsters.

I applaud @RepJamesComer and @RepBrandonGill for establishing a task force to investigate and combat fraud as well, starting with Ohio’s Medicaid program, which reportedly had numerous social service businesses all at the same address or using vacant properties. These companies have billed over $250 million in Federal Medicaid payouts since 2018.

You’ve heard a lot about waste, fraud, and abuse in our federal government recently. I firmly believe in ensuring Hoosiers’ tax dollars are used responsibly and hold bad actors accountable. As the @VP said, tackling fraud is not a red vs. blue state issue. Every American should care about this, so I'd like to break down this issue over the next few days. Here are some examples we have already seen in states across the country. 🧵

On this day in 1607, English colonists led by John Smith establishing “James Fort” which would become Jamestown, Virginia. As we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday this year, I hope we can recall that same spirit of discovery which led the first settlers and always remember that America is the greatest civilization in history.

Choosing E15 over regular gasoline could save the average American household more than $200 per year. If adopted nationwide, drivers would save a combined $27 billion annually on gas purchases! It's American-made, American-grown fuel.

I spoke on the House Floor today about why we need year-round E-15. Our country needs greater fuel supply to reduce our dependence on foreign energy while supporting American-made fuels. E-15 also strengthens rural economies, helping countless Indiana corn farmers. The key to unleashing American energy dominance is utilizing every energy source at our disposal. I urge my colleagues to pass this vital legislation.

I was glad to meet with business leaders at the Indiana Forum breakfast. These meetings are crucial for me to know what issues industries in Indiana care about so I can help build economic growth in our great state. Thank you to everyone who attended for a great conversation!

Did you know? Ethanol is currently blended in more than 98% of all gasoline sold in the U.S. according to @ENERGY. It has helped lower gas prices and support our agricultural industry, especially Indiana’s corn farmers.

It was my distinct honor to meet the @NASAArtemis Astronauts today. These American heroes circled the moon and back going farther into the universe than anyone before. Thank you for being such an inspiring group of people.
