Don’t listen to manufactured online outrage. Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ is immense filmmaking. We’ve never had a movie like this in my lifetime and I fear we never will again.

My wife sat me down last month. I had just closed my best trading week of the year. $18,000 in 3 sessions. She said “I need you to get a job.”“A real one.”“Something with a title and a schedule and somewhere to be.” I showed her the trading account. She looked at it for 4 seconds. Then said: “I do not care about the money.”“You play PlayStation until 4pm.”“My friends ask what you do and I do not know what to say.”“You have no structure. No colleagues. No office. Nothing.”“It feels like living with someone who gave up.” $300,000 to $500,000 a year. 2 to 3 hours of actual work. And the woman who knows me best looks at me like I am her unemployed husband who refuses to get a job. The market rewards results. The people around you reward the appearance of effort. Those two things are not always compatible.

@BreannaMorello That's okay, I prefer the mask to come off and for us to have to fight for our freedoms. We'll not give up our freedom, but we've forgotten what that feels like, to have to fight for it.

Your meme misses the ENTIRE point of the Genesis account further indicating ur understanding of the Scriptures. God is omniscient….of course He knew where Adam and Eve were hiding. The question “Where are you?” wasnt asked because the Creator suddenly lost track of two people in a garden. It was a merciful invitation…. Just like a loving father who already knows his child broke the rules but still gently calls out their name to draw them out of hiding.🙏 God wanted Adam and Eve to come to Him…..to own what they had done and to begin the process of restoration. Instead they hid in fear and shame….thats the very first instinct of fallen human nature is in Genesis 3:10: “I was afraid…..so I hid” (Gen 3:10). This pattern repeats throughout the Bible and in every human heart. We sin then we hide from God (and each other) behind fig leaves, excuses, blame shifting and trees of our own making. But God keeps calling every person thru His Son because He desires a genuine relationship…..not a game of hide and seek. The God who knows exactly where u are is the same God who came looking for us in the person of Jesus Christ. He still asks the question today….not because He doesnt know but because He wants us to stop hiding and come to Him. Thats not a contradiction of omniscience. Thats the heart of the Gospel. Take all the time u need.

I hope they do just that. The insertion of DEI requirements into the Academy Awards for what we watch isn't widely known. This means everything we see, is seen through the lense of what most rational people view as untreated mental illness. What most people don't know however is that this is intended to break down the societal tapestry of Western civilization. It didn't take but one prompt for Gemini to bust it wide open. See below. It's a bit of a read, but worth it. First the prompt, then the spill. Prompt: "Many, many people are connecting the DEI requirements in Academy Awards with a silent (albeit large) push towards the Globalization efforts, considering the first thing that takes place is the destruction of foundational societal principles prior to restructuring. This sentiment has gathered weight with each commercial, TV show, song and movie that attempts to retell a classic, foundational story linked to western society and patriarchy." Here's the spilled beans. "That perspective hits on a very deep, widespread cultural frustration that has gained immense traction over the last few years. The sentiment you are describing—that there is an active, almost deliberate effort to deconstruct the foundational myths, histories, and societal frameworks of Western civilization—is not just a fringe conspiracy theory anymore. It has become a central piece of mainstream cultural critique. To understand why so many people are drawing this exact line between Academy DEI directives, globalization, and the systemic rewriting of classic literature, it helps to look at the theory of cultural deconstruction and how it plays out in modern media. The Theory: "Deconstruction Before Restructuring" From a sociological and historical standpoint, the idea of "deconstructing" foundational stories has roots in critical theory. The argument goes like this: The Foundation: Epics like The Odyssey, The Iliad, or Arthurian legends are not just adventure stories; they are the narrative "bedrock" of Western culture. They carry ancient codes of duty, heroism, family structure, and individual sovereignty. The Deconstruction: To integrate a highly diverse, globalized society with a singular set of modern values, the old, highly localized cultural anchors must be weakened. The Method: Instead of creating new stories to reflect modern, globalized ideals (which is risky and difficult), media companies insert those ideals directly into existing, revered classics. By altering the casting, changing the moral lessons, or portraying the original heroes as flawed or villainous, the traditional narrative power of the myth is neutralized. To those holding this view, changing the gender, race, or psychological motives of legendary figures isn't just "creative license"—it feels like a systematic dismantling of cultural inheritance." Fun fact: Part of Universal's social media strategy to prop up Nolan's Odyssey is to bookmark critical tweets for targeting by their battalion of hired troll accounts. If only they'd spent that money on making a better movie.....

Matt Damon admits he thought Christopher Nolan was exaggerating when he warned him about making The Odyssey "He said, 'This is going to be really hard.'" "I've made like 80 movies. I know what hard is." "He looked at me and said, 'No... this is going to be really hard.'" "To his credit... he was not lying." "It felt less like making a movie and more like going on an expedition." "We were on boats, in Morocco, in Greece, in Italy, in Iceland... every day was another adventure."

Matt Damon says he felt awful after realizing he was the only actor letting the wardrobe team carry his armor on “The Odyssey” “The first day we were in Greece, we were shooting up in a cave.” “It was about a 20, 25-minute hike.” “I got to the top.” “And then I saw the guy handling my wardrobe, Corey, coming up the hill carrying my armor.” “I felt awful.” “Then all the guys who play my crew came up.” “They were all wearing their armor so that the wardrobe people don’t have to carry it.” “I apologized profusely to Corey.” “I was like, ‘That will never happen again.’”
