During my travels last year to all 50 states, there was no issue I heard more complaints about than the EPA rules I inherited regarding Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) systems. During my Senate EPW hearing yesterday, @SenDanSullivan and I discussed the tremendous number of actions being taken by the Trump EPA in response (massively reversed deratements, restored “Right to Repair”, collected much needed data from manufacturers, and eliminated DEF sensors). Next, we are about to propose, as part of the upcoming NOx rulemaking, to remove DEF deratements entirely.
