My first postdoc preprint is out! Upon starvation, the Vimentin IFs network rapidly compacts (in <15 min!) to "cage" ER-Endosome membrane contact sites. This spatial confinement is crucial for autophagosome biogenesis. biorxiv.org/content/10.648…

What a beautiful time at the European Intermediate Filament Meeting 2025 in Lyon! I was so glad to meet such a welcoming community. I'm honored to have won the Best Oral Communication Prize for my recent postdoc project on Vimentin and Autophagy! Huge thanks to the organizers!

Lysosomal vacuolation has been observed for decades in many diseases. Today in @ScienceMagazine, we report LYVAC/PDZD8-mediated directional, ER-to-lysosome lipid transfer as an essential mechanism for lysosomal vacuolation. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Excited to share our latest review "Lysosomal Repair in Health and Disease". We summarized how cells repair lysosomal damage via 4 distinct strategies and discussed the implications for aging, neurodegeneration, cancer, infection, and more. Open access: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jc…
