@AerBunny_ I think it's going to be the midpoint of the game. Like act 1 is all NC stuff until meteor is summoned, the Junon escape kicks off act 2. Then a new chapter leads into the party finding Cloud in Mideel, then there's the start of huge materia quest with Cid as leader, then LSS.

Why does everything think the LSS is gonna happen so early in the game? There’s so many more pacing problems introduced by bringing Cloud back so fast If it’s a 14 chapter game I’m expecting him gone for at least 4-5 of them

@ffSteeD27 I agree with that point. I for one don't think Z/A's fates would be out of place to be adressed in the LSS in the Retrilogy's context, for the reasons you mentionned

@FreyLeChevelu I can understand how you see it that way. My point was that IF the deaths of Aerith/Zack were to be added to the LSS, it really wouldn't be out of context or undermine Tifa because the LSS is ultimately about Cloud learning the truth. And in 7R, these lies have been enhanced.

I've also been meaning to say this: The LSS is about Cloud's identity. It means that it's not about Zack or Aerith but also NOT about Tifa either. It's about HIM. If writers decide that in Remake Cloud needs to learn all the truths he repressed to heal, it'd be consistent.

@Joshiepoo2525 This gives us the opportunity to let us "kill" the weapons and get the huge materia without actually destroying the planet's literal last line of defense

@Joshiepoo2525 I think the huge materia are gonna end up being the weapons cores and that as long as they exist the weapons can be summoned by the planet even if we "kill" them. Shinra's plan to use them to destroy meteor would permanently kill the weapons which is why we will have to stop them

In FF7 OG, we collect the huge/magnus materia and store them at Cosmo Canyon. But if those materia have been reimagined as the smaller weapons, how will we collect them? And will the blue one (Tifa’s friend) still carve off a chunk of itself to become Bahamut Zero??

Yesterday my dog, Fischer, died suddenly and unexpectedly. I’m still in shock, blindsided by it all. He was as central a member of my family as any person. I’d like to tell you his story, briefly. 8 years ago, my 12-year old dog, Bandit, died after a long battle with kidney disease. A week later on a fishing trip, my brother encountered an abandoned, starving dog that swam out to his boat. When no owner could be found, I reluctantly took the dog in, and named him Fischer. I’m so glad I did. Along with his older sister, Daisy, he was my pandemic dog, my hiking buddy, and my left armrest while watching tv or gaming. He loved pawing at Red XIII (which we jokingly called him, the counterpart to my other dog, a Torgal lookalike), and he loved play fighting me while I tried to make my bed after he would crawl in it during the night. He loved playing fetch, and especially curling up against me for safety during storms. He was 90 pounds of rambunctious devotion. And God he loved me. We unknowingly spent his final morning on a hike. He chased and ran and played like usual. It was a perfect last memory with him, doing what we loved doing together most. He was “a fine hound,” and one of my favorite blessings. We’re going to miss him so much, but are so thankful for his life. That’s the thing about gratitude. It commingles with grief in such a way that both can breathe. And in that way, I guess I can breathe, too. At least, that’s what I’m trying to practice. Every gasp of sadness is met with an exhale of gratitude. I know many of you loved seeing him on stream. The couch behind me may have a Red XIII-sized hole now, but I’ll always cherish the memories of us in that room. Maybe we’ll do a Fischer stream and talk about grief soon, but I’ll need a minute. Today though, I want to thank you all for loving him, and me, so well. Thanks, everyone, for your prayers and support as I breathe through this.

@clotiaddict In the west yes, globally no, especially in Japan. Aerith disrespect ain’t tolerated over there. She even sells most of the merchandise and was ranked the second most popular Final Fantasy character of all time not that long ago.

Can I ask a dumb question? is Cloti more popular than Clerith? I thought CT was more popular because it’s so well known outside of the ff7 fandom and CA’s are always complaining about having to make their own forums to escape CT’s. Without any bias can someone answer 😓

@Mgata_official Cuz they definitely need some coherent way for the party to go find Cloud there. In OG it's just completely random, you go there and stumble into him with no plot reason at all. They can't replicate that in Revelation so there HAS to be a plot beat that leads to it

@Mgata_official My theory is that the baby weapon attack on Mideel is what motivates the party to go to Mideel in the 1st place, which leads to them finding Cloud there. They are indirectly guiding them because that is the planet's will, much like Sapphire weapon indirectly saving Tifa in Junon

I've seen people saying Sephiroth is controling the baby weapons because they're now attacking the party & mideel, but I don't think that's true. I think the baby weapons are attacking mideel in order to get Cloud and Tifa into the Lifestream, so Tifa can bring back the real Cloud. In Gongaga, we see the baby weapon take Tifa to the Lifestream after Cloud almost killed her. It did so in the name of the planet, because if Tifa loses trust and belief in Cloud all is lost, and so to ensure that doesn't happen the planet takes Tifa to the LS and shows her the memories needed to rebuilt her trust in Cloud. Mideel is the exact same. In this case, the planet needs Tifa and Cloud to be in LS so the real Cloud can emerge, ergo, the baby weapons are employed to make this happen. #FF7R #FF7Rev

@LRyVA Also DMC characters scale extremely high, with Dante (which Vergil is relative to) defeating Mundus who is able to create entire universes. The only FF characters who might have a chance against that dude are Lightning and XIV WoL

@Maignangioia @Schrodingersba4 The gang would've completely given up on him if it wasn't for Tifa insisting that he is alive somewhere and that he is actually a real person despite Sephiroth's fake reveal at NC and that something is wrong with his mind. Him attacking the party at NC would fit right in

I think this points to a boss fight AGAINST them… but it would be really interesting if you played the fight from BOTH povs. Both from the party fighting Cloud/Seph AND from Cloud/Seph fighting the party. I hear sephdemption takes from this, but I think it’ll be awesome instead
