Here’s the testimony I sent to the Salt Lake Tribune reporter who unfortunately had to cut it down due to “word count (and readers limited attention span).” I’m just glad there was enough space to use for quote mining and citing slanderous left-wing hit pieces instead! I believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, the Redeemer of mankind, and my personal Savior. He died on the cross to atone for the sins of all mankind, but that, more importantly, three days later, He rose from the dead triumphantly into eternal life. I believe that through His atonement all mankind may be saved, and I have seen the process of the atonement in my own life, helping transform my heart, will, and desire to align more with God's. I pray to accompany the Nephites who, upon hearing King Benjamin's words proclaimed, "the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent... has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually." I know that God loves all of his children, that we are all made in His image, and that Faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end are the tenets of His gospel which bind us to Him. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that Dallin H. Oaks is God’s prophet on the earth today. I know that despite Satan’s attempts to promote what is contrary to God’s laws by perpetuating and encouraging addiction to drugs, alcohol, pornography, sex, and other vices, God will have the ultimate victory. I believe that it is our duty as Latter-day Saints to prepare the earth for Christ’s millennial reign by rallying against these vices and helping to gather Israel through missionary and temple work. I believe that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the word of God, and I know that the Constitution of the United States is a divinely inspired document. I know that families can be together forever, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God’s true and restored church on the earth today.

@jkimballcook The main problem is that people who say that Joseph wasn’t a polygamist also claim that God didn’t institute it and Brigham Young did it sinfully for his own desires. That’s what really is the problem and why they probably should have records removed if they teach that publicly.

I disagree strongly with those who argue Joseph Smith was not a polygamist. The historical evidence is too strong imo. But I don't think having wrong opinions is alone grounds for losing your membership in the church. (Also, we don't call it excommunication anymore.)

No way! Israel, who clearly is not aligned with the operational objectives of the United States and instead wants a “failed state” and the total destruction of Iran, supports strikes against Iranian power plants which will ultimately result in the suffering of the Iranian people as well as mass attacks against, not Israel, but energy and desalination infrastructure in the Gulf States. What a surprise!
