@NOTokwhat @M3gawither @AnimarchyYT It is the best guess they have based on reporting by healthcare workers and aid workers, but neither have a complete/accurate accounting, since the hospitals and government infrastructure have been destroyed and northern Gaza has been evacuated.

@FriendlyOrendi @M3gawither @AnimarchyYT i feel like the collapse of civil society is mainly because that 80% of gaza has been bombed and not that 60000 civilians have died. both UN and hamas and independent sources claim the total deathtolls are around 70-80k

@FriendlyOrendi @M3gawither @AnimarchyYT the total number is ~80000, 20000 of which are hamas terrorists. the rate of death is kind of important considering a genocide is meant to be DELIBERATE, however israel notifies the area thats going to be bombed to have it evacuated, 80% of gaza is destroyed but 2% have died

@M3gawither @AnimarchyYT 60000 civilians died in gaza since october 7th, thats 63 a day, gazas population is about 2 million with 6000 people per km^2. 80% of gaza was destroyed yet the casualties are this low. japan had about 260-330 deaths a day since 1942 to 1945. if gaza is a genocide, then so is jap

A lot of things, but the biggest is that they made DND reddit even more than usual. Their way of exhibiting the game to be played not only influenced how DND would be dumbed down to be accessible to the lowest common denominator but also gave way to new players being averse to challenge and granular rules where you actually have to think about what you're doing, and calculate stuff.

@picopaco18 @BattleSquire90 Not actually though. The stats in this meme are not true- and while the samurai mentality was effective at killing civillians and barely trained conscripts, the IJA's record against peer forces was mediocre past 42'

@LGBTQPete Biden didnt win Iowa either- he needed Clyburn to get him a single primary win in SC, after which Obama pulled together the endorsements of the no-momentum candidates behind Biden and shifted the primary in his favor. Biden later went on to win decisively in the general.

@padmehours Can you imagine how good the show wouldve been if it gave her something to do outside of 2 good fight scenes, and didn't kill her off right then? Im not even saying she needed to survive- just give her stuff to do so we actually care when shr dies.

@MMinnym45 @ShineboxHukster @EmmaVigeland Elites, sure, but the emnity from the working class towards the dems has little to do with progressive policy. Bernie, for example, supported both social progressivism, and economic progressivism, and pulled many blue collar voters in bpth primaries he was in.

Chuck Schumer got the constituency he coveted. Turns out that it just doesn't win elections. "For every blue-collar Democrat we lose in western Pennsylvania, we will pick up two moderate Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia," he said in 2016.

@qq_noo @ShineboxHukster @EmmaVigeland Candidate Biden pre-concessions to Bernie was a solid corpratist with a few Obama-era policies tacked on. Post concessions he was significantly better, and my opinion on him improved. Post election, he abandoned much of his progressive platform, and my opinion worsened.

@ShineboxHukster @EmmaVigeland Literally nothing you said just now is true. But more relevantly- the blue-collar vote goes to the side that speaks to them financially. Biden was forced to make concessions that way b/c of bernie, and he hated every second of it. Harris didnt, and she lost them. Simple as.

@EmmaVigeland Democrats are losing their blue-collar constituency because of the stench of Intersectional feminists like yourself & & your alignment w/ the Shiite-backed project for global Intifada & as well your zealous support for expanding the medical market for pediatric cosmetic surgery.

@whstancil Also there was the whole, "actively supporting an ethnic cleansing for a year" bit, but Im sure that wasnt important. Its not like Michigan was a must-win state or anything.

@whstancil Dude all he talked about was NATO, how, "good" the economy was, and insulin. Only 1 of those is a kitchen table issue, and even that one is a bit niche. He was too old, and far to centrist, to effectively campaign on the actual progressive wins he made during his term.

Biden's strategy - pass a bunch of kitchen-table laws, and then campaign on them - failed miserably, because it's really boring and no one heard about it. And then all the "experts" in politics go "Well he should have campaigned on them!" because they didn't hear about it.

@DiamondSpiderP @Georgeabrams53 This 1000%. If you didnt watch wandavision, her character change hits you out of left field, and is incomprehensible. If you did, it works as a hard 180 from her arc, rendering the whole show pointless, and betraying the emotional payoff to its climax.

@Georgeabrams53 It completely backtracks everything great that WandaVision did for Wanda’s character in order to push up Strange. Strange’s arc was fine, America was a plot device more than an actual character, and Wanda was so shit it’s insane (but Lizzie gave a fantastic performance that
