New @ECIU_UK analysis of the harvests in 2024 and 2025 has calculated that production lost after extreme weather is the equivalent to 13% of the area used to grow wheat, barley and oats in England, when reduced yield is factored in, as well as crop area. eciu.net/media/press-reโฆ

@EmmaforWycombe @EmmaforWycombe yesterday we signed a deed of surrender on our tenant farmland as a result of a solar scheme our local community rejected but your government approved. Our experiences must help inform future policy so no more @tenantfarmers have to endure the challenges we face

Obviously I am a bit weird about this by now butโฆ Peat map of doom klaxon!! In the new land use framework @EmmaforWycombe fyi The peat map is rubbish and SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ANY GOVERNMENT DECISION MAKING. Due to it not knowing whatโs peat and whatโs not, and all thatโฆ

We welcome the land use framework, but storing carbon is peats role, it should not be used for wind turbines, and all solar should go on rooftops, car parks, and other wasted space so green fields ard used for food production or nature's recovery.

Land is our most fundamental national asset. Now thereโs a plan to use it smarter - for food, homes, nature and clean energy. ๐พ Find out about the Land Use Framework: gov.uk/government/newโฆ #UKGrowth #LandUse
