Rideshare Driver Charged In Sexual Assault Of Passenger Investigation Toronto police have arrested a Caledon man in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a rideshare passenger near downtown earlier this year. According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to a call on February 24, 2026, in the Bloor Street West and Queen’s Park area. Investigators allege that a 21-year-old man had ordered a rideshare when the incident occurred. Police say the driver made a sexual comment during the trip before stopping the vehicle and moving into the back seat, where the alleged assault took place. The suspect then reportedly left the victim on a sidewalk and fled the scene in a grey Toyota Corolla. On March 18, authorities announced the arrest of 33-year-old Harsimranjot Dhillon of Caledon. He has been charged with Sexual assault. Investigators say they are concerned there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
