We've adopted a strategy of trying to appease Trump, flatter Trump and ingratiate ourselves with Trump. And this morning we can all see the results. When are we going to realise the only thing he respects, and responds to, is confidence and strength.

Trump, the self-styled 'master negotiator', has removed any leverage for Putin to come to the table. He's given away all of the US' powerful 'cards'. The only possible conclusions are either/some combination of a) he's actually a terrible negotiator b) he's indifferent to what happens to Ukraine c) he wants Russia to win.

What’s clear at this point is that the Trump strategy on Ukraine is to only place pressure on Zelensky, not Putin. The moves we’ve seen have been to give Russia everything it wants, and Ukraine nothing. It’s a complete reversal of the American position from only 6 weeks ago.

Whatever your political position on Labour or Tory or Lib Dem’s I for one am proud to be a Brit supporting Zelenskyy and Ukraine totally !
